Excellent, excellent food! Beautiful location. We were here during a slower time during their opening week, we received our food in a timely manner, however we were not checked on after this until we were about done with our food. We’re used to someone, usually our server coming over within minutes of the food arriving to ensure we don’t need anything else. We did need something, otherwise I probably wouldn’t given much notice to this. But I know they’re still training and getting things setup during this soft open. So glad to have a talus on this side of town. They consistently deliver quality food, and drinks.

We enjoyed a very tasty lunch. I loved the flavors of the Dijon Peak Sandwich (with a gluten-free bun) and a perfect side salad with a nice house red wine vinaigrette. My lunch mate very much liked the Crispy Buffalo Chicken Sandwich with potato crisps. The atmosphere is warm, cozy and beautiful. We look forward to having a cocktail at the expansive and handsome bar sometime soon. Our server was great, very friendly and efficient.

We were lucky to dine at the new Talus location during their soft opening. I could not recommend it more and has become my new favorite restaurant. From a scratch kitchen of comfort fusion foods with global influence created by Chef Aron to the immaculate bar program put together by Tyler I was amazed.
Every bite I tried was delicious, cooked to perfection with a wonderful blend of flavors. My stand out was the Smoky Mountain Gnocchi with melt in your mouth braised short ribs paired with the delectable herbed brown butter gnocchi.
The cocktail menu was one of the largest I’ve seen with 19 cocktails and 4 mocktails. The time and care put into each drink could be tasted. From variations on mules and spritz to different old fashioneds there is something for everyone. My favorites were the Hugo Spritz and Talus Reserve. I will have to come back to try the Blackberry Shrub Mule while sitting on the patio this summer. It is noted the bar focuses on local breweries and small businesses for spirits as well. Hats off to Tyler!
My jaw was on the floor the whole night I cannot recommend this place enough. If you’re in Omaha looking for a place that has true passion and care for what they are doing look no further. It could be a casual lunch or an elevated date night from the variety Talus has to offer. The service was amazing and I cannot wait to see how the restaurant continues to grow with this only being their soft opening. 1000000/10!
