Man, every Chinese spot is the same you roll up one night and the chicken is straight fire, juicy, tender, melts in your mouth, and you’re thinking this place is the truth. Then you go back the next day and it’s dry, chewy, straight-up trash. That’s why I don’t mess with them like that it’s a gamble every time. I don’t want “maybe good, maybe bad,” I want consistent. I want fresh, juicy chicken that hits every single time, not some coin flip where Saturday night’s amazing and Sunday tastes like cardboard.

I stopped in tonight to give it a try. The service was quick for my small order around dinner time. General Tso chicken combo with fried rice and en egg roll. Perfect for dinner!

Ok so I haven’t been to Big Bowl in over a year. I miss this establishment. You can call in your order ahead of time. No matter how late you are, they still haven’t really started your food yet.
Now that sounds kinda dodgy, but the lady cooking the food works her behind off. I swear she has at least 6 arms. All while babysitting the two younger boys that run the register and the deep fryer. I swear it’s like watching someone wrangle cats. She’s yelling at them while they roll their eyes and mess everything up.
Here’s the best part though, my order was always correct and the food was always amazing. I didn’t care that I had to wait an extra few minutes for my food in an uncomfortable situation. This place rocks!!!

So disappointed tonight, we ordered spicy beef, orange chicken and General zao chicken, 2 egg rolls and won tong soup, it was not very busy first of all, I did call ahead and waited over half an hour for my food, the spicy beef had very little beef was NOT spicy, the egg rolls were burnt and except for a few orange rinds, we couldn’t tell the difference between the Orange chicken and the General Zaos chicken, they looked and tasted the same! I could understand if they were busy, because we haven’t been disappointed ln the past, but tonight it was not good!

I have been getting takeout from Big Bowl for years. My favorite menu items from them are there handmade steamed dumplings, which are made with a thin dough and the perfect amount of meat and soup juices inside. Their shrimp lo mein has the perfect flavor and isn’t dry like most places. The general Tso is crispy and just the right of sweet and spicy.

Ordered their lunch combo for general tso’s chicken. 10 minutes later it was done. Egg rolls are decent size and tasty. General tso’s sauce was tangy, breading was near perfect, good size tasty chicken chunks. This place has better prices than the place in Phoenix and is just as good. Thanks for the food!
