Amazing Customer Service!
While spending a weekend in beautiful Luray for our son’s wedding, we came across this marvelous bakery and met Chef Chuck who is not only a wonderful baker, but an awesome person! We explained to him that it was a Polish custom to have a wedding blessing at the reception and that we needed a small piece of bread like a roll for this. Even though Chuck did not have this on the menu, he happily said that he would have something for us the next morning. To our amazement, he went out of his way to research this custom and baked for us a beautiful braided chalka bread which not only looked amazing at the blessing table, but was quite tasty as well. My family was extremely touched by Chef Chuck’s generosity. We have also sampled other items on the menu while at his shop and can honestly say that his baked goods are delicious. We definitely plan to return to his shop when we visit again!

The quiche was amazing! The owner was so friendly and full of energy. I took it to Shenandoah National Park, and even after it cooled down, it was still soft and delicious. I’d definitely come back to Luray just for that quiche!

We had Main Street Bakery & Catering in Luray cater our event, and everything was perfect! The chilis, cornbread, and fall cupcakes were a huge hit, and the chicken salad was just as delicious. Chuck and his staff were wonderful to work with. So friendly, helpful, and thoughtful. They even surprised us with a couple of cinnamon buns when we picked up our order! Highly recommend them for any event or catering needs.

The walnut brownie is “the best brownie I’ve ever had in my life.” We went two days in a row because the first day’s order of a brownie, savory pastry, and two types of quiche were so good. On Day 2, we got the savory pastry again and a cinnamon roll. All were excellent. Very accommodating feel, atmosphere, and service. Do not be deterred by the smaller size of menu. It changes routinely and everything we had was fantastic!

Ordered a surprise cake for my husband’s birthday and it came out perfectly! I chose the 9” cake with red velvet throughout, a crumb coating for the sides, with white buttercream icing and some red velvet crumbles on top. Needless to say, they brought my vision to life!
Despite coming from out of town and not being able to pick up at the original time, they were incredibly understanding and allowed me to pick up the following morning shortly after opening.
I cannot say enough good things about this place. I entirely recommend stopping by for their quiche, pastries, or loaves as well!

Just paid a visit to the Main Street Bakery and all I can say is, what a GREAT experience. We were welcomed before we even walked through the door. The staff was inviting and friendly and the baked goods were to die for. 10/10 recommend

Quaint bakery in Luray. We came in on a Friday morning and the selection seemed a little limited but we’re used to bakeries with dozens of baked goods options. I left with a ginger snap cookie and a sweet potato, pecan, and chocolate chip muffin. Both were delicious and I wouldn’t hesitate to come back to try other baked goods. The baker, possibly the owner, was very friendly. Whoever was working the register could not have been less enthusiastic and welcoming though.

Delicious sweet and savory options. We had a cinnamon roll, peach muffin, and a couple slices of quiche. The cinnamon roll was excellent, it was soft and cooked perfect. The quiches were delish, one was crab and corn, and it was rich and decadent, the other was bacon and leek which had a nice country taste. We’ll go back for sure.

I had Main Street Bakery & Catering bake a cheesecake for my wedding cake! It was, hands down, probably the best cheesecake I’ve ever had! We also got delicious cherry and strawberry toppings for those who wanted it. The 9” size was perfect for a wedding of 15 people with about half left over for my husband (the cheesecake lover!) and me to eat for a couple days after the wedding. I can’t wait to return for more cheesecake some day!
