Loved the local vibe at Shreveport Biscuit Company — the food was delicious, the staff was genuinely friendly, and the biscuits are huge (in the best way). The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars: the plastic cutlery packs and the tiny snack-pack napkins. These are big ol’ two-hand biscuits… those little napkins don’t stand a chance. Upgrade the napkins and I’ll happily bump this to 5!

I love the Shreveport Biscuit Company!!! I make a point to stop by every time I’m home for the holidays. Their food is delicious and I love all the groceries and art from local sellers. The staff is super friendly too! If you go, get the It’s The Tot That Counts biscuit sandwich.

We went one morning and we were lucky enough to have the lady at the counter walk us through the menu. I got the It’s the Tot That Counts with sausage and egg on the garlic biscuit. It’s hard for me to have eggs sometimes but their cheesy eggs were delicious. Put together with the biscuit and the hash brown, it made for a flavorful breakfast. I was really impressed and I’ll be sure to stop by again.

The Shreveport Biscuit Company: Where the Soul Still Rises

Some mornings, the South smells like redemption — butter, bacon grease, and the faint sweetness of dough catching on cast iron. In Shreveport, that smell leads you straight to The Shreveport Biscuit Company, a joint that doesn’t try to reinvent Southern food so much as remind you what it was meant to be in the first place.

This isn’t the kind of place that chases trends or peddles ironic nostalgia. It’s the real deal — hand-mixed biscuits with rough edges and golden tops that split open to reveal steam and memory. You can taste the time, the labor, and the unpretentious pride baked into every bite.

Order the sausage biscuit, and you’ll get more than breakfast. You’ll get a lesson in restraint and comfort: house-made sausage, peppery and honest, tucked inside a biscuit that’s flakey enough to make you forgive every sad drive-thru meal you’ve ever settled for. Drizzle a little of their local honey — sold in jars by the register — and suddenly you’re not just eating, you’re communing.

But this place doesn’t stop at biscuits. The handmade goods — jams, pickles, preserves, the kind of things your grandmother used to line up on a windowsill — are a reminder that not everything good has to come wrapped in plastic. Shelves of local produce and pantry staples give it the feel of an old-country store, but there’s something modern here too: the simple, radical act of care.

You get the sense that everyone in this kitchen knows where their ingredients come from — maybe even the people who grew them. There’s pride in the details, a slow-food soul in a fast-food world.

In a town that’s been through its share of ups and downs, The Shreveport Biscuit Company feels like a promise that the South can still feed both body and spirit — no gimmicks, no hashtags, just honest food done right.

Come hungry. Leave full. Maybe a little changed

This is a cute place that features a little grocery store and food shop. The biscuit featured was blueberry (we saved it for later). Biscuit with gravy was on tap for the other half. Gravy was runny but very tasty. I had the bacon egg and cheese biscuit. You have to unhinged your jaw for this. (Or open it and split the guts in half and eat it with a fork and knife). I wasn’t hungry til dinner.

Arrived around 10am. Ordered two biscuits(one with sausage added) and a coffee. It was right at $30.
Biscuits were tough and dry, warm around the edges but cool/cold centers. Must have been fixed for awhile because the cheese was even hard.
For the price, it’s not worth the hype. I wanted to really like it but just didn’t work out.
Small quaint area inside with lots of local products for sale. Had a few customers in for pickup, 2 for dine in. Wait was around 10 minutes for our food to go. Very limited street parking

My boss told me a tale of a little shop in Shreveport that made buiscuits that were legendary across the land. I had to see this for myself and it did not disappoint! I had the biscuits and gravy and they were so delicious! I went back and ordered the mushroom biscuit and it was so savory!! So then I went back and got a biscuit and with honey. Tomorrow im going to get the biscuit and preserves….then I’ll go back, and go back because the food is worth it and the staff are the kindest people you will ever have the good fortune to meet. I love Shreveport Biscuit and so will you.

Loved the quaint vibes here! Food and service were both great. We got lucky and showed up right as a fresh batch of the original biscuits came out…so good! The homemade strawberry jam was honestly the best I’ve ever had. Definitely coming back to try the blueberry biscuit next time.

I didn’t dine in, it was a carry out. It was biscuits and gravy. The gravy was succulent, it had meat in it and there was a song garlic taste, just my style. The food was good and everyone that ordered seemed to enjoy their purchase. There’s many LA style packages to make LA food. There were quaint little trinkets for sale as well. All in all a good experience… will be back…
