You might be wondering…”should I go here?”. I’m here to tell you the answer is, “heck yes!”. Delicious food. Cool ambiance. Great customer service. We had the pleasure of interacting with Rich and our server, Cassandra, and it couldn’t have been a better, more personable experience. Have a great experience and eat here!
P.S. We got too excited about our entrees to take pictures but trust they were amazing (highly recommend the sautéed fish)

Upon entry, we were greeted and welcomed in without a reservation. It was very busy. We originally thought it was a different restaurant (another creole restaurant) and should have looked at the menu before hand but none the less it was definitely worth staying. We ordered the catfish bites, chicken florentine( try it! It’s delicious), side of mashed potatoes (random but these were good as well), spaghetti and meatballs and cheesecake. Everything was delicious. It was not too loud inside and was a perfect date night. Our only complaint was service was slow. Our waitress(G.P) was not very attentive. Overall a good place to eat and enjoy a night out. If we’re in town again, would come again.

Gallo’s on High is a great place when you want a good meal at a great value. The staff are friendly and the food is comforting. Conveniently located on N High Street in Clintonville. The parking is a little challenging during dinner hours but the turnover is fast enough that space becomes available regularly.

I thought it was pretty good, solid food. Felt the meal was good but maybe on the higher priced side? 2 entries and an app for almost $100 in the end. I know prices are crazy but man, it’s getting out of control these days.
Waitress was super nice. And again, food was good and we both enjoyed it. Ravioli special was very good and had a nice flavor twist to it. Meatball hoagie was solid.

Nice neighborhood restaurant/bar. Very unique flavors in traditional dishes, like hand cut potato chips with truffle oil. I enjoyed the meatball sub. They don’t have a full menu until after 4pm. Check their hours before you go because their hours are different some days of the week.

My boyfriend and I enjoyed chicken sandwiches. He had the grilled with fries and I had the chicken parmesan. Our server was friendly and helpful. We each ordered cocktails that were plentiful and delicious. I ordered a 614 and my boyfriend’s drink was a martini with gin and a fresh blackberry in the bottom (I can’t remember exactly the name).

Small, modern and Italian focused tight menu. Covid guidelines implemented. Be sure to make reservations, otherwise you’ll out of luck.
As for the food…. does not disappoint. The BPT Flatbread was delicious. unable to try the calamari app & salmon entree as they ran out. Ask about the specials.
As for service…… the place was full, we had to wait to order & wait longer than expected for the order.

I ordered the salmon which comes with sweet potato and vegetables that have been Julianne like noodles. It was very good. There was enough butter and fat however that I would have been well served to have also ordered a glass of wine. Luckily there was a lemon wedge that cut a lot of it.
For dessert, I got something I think it was pot de creme. It’s not really a chocolate pudding, but that dessert was really the highlight of your evening.
I forgot, they started with some bread and olive oil. The olive oil looks like it has some ground pepper as well as some fancy vinegar in it.
On all, I am traded very much. Oh yeah service very well done The gentleman knew the menu at great suggestions so call out to Brian. Good job sir.

Gallo’s on High is beautiful inside and has an outside patio. You can really tell that they received the input of bartenders, customers and staff when creating this place. The food is all great and I’d recommend the scallops or crab cakes. They do start you off with olive oil and bread which are both really good. The staff is also really friendly and knowledgeable. They have a great wine and beer list as well. The atmosphere is great and I think if you’re in the area and want to celebrate something special you should definitely check it out.
