This little gem was a hit with us! They don’t have a huge selection of beers, but the options they do offer are solid. The lady working was very friendly and even let us sample a few if we were unsure about what to choose. We sat inside, enjoyed some sports on the TVs, and played a few games. They also host special events, so be sure to check out their social media if you’re looking for something fun to do!

Of all the varied places I have found myself in across this wide, weird world, none have compared to THE PUB for What Ales You. The people are phenomenal, the selection is excellent, and the overall atmosphere is something that cannot be replicated. Be it your first time or hundredth, it is always an amazing time. There’s live music, trivia, and overall good conversation with some of the best people from all over. I find myself always leaving feeling a great sense of community with everyone in there. What a great group of people and a wonderful place to relax. A true gem of Greenville

Love the Anchor Mango Wheat! Great place to enjoy a craft brew close to home. We’ll be back! And now I’m really a fan of the ciders! The last little bit in the photo is one of my two favorites, Doc’s Draft Pumpkin Hard Apple Cider. The McKenzie’s Black Cherry Cider will be back in warmer weather.

We visited this place for the first time last night! We picked a great night because they were doing trivia. I always forget how much we enjoy trivia, oh and I haven’t even mentioned the beer yet! We met a few friends out there that go a good bit. We all brought our dogs, so we had 3 all total. The owner is a great person! The second we walked in he gave our dogs all a treat (after asking of course) and you could tell he really enjoyed and appreciated them and us as customers. The variety of beer is awesome and ever-changing. They even had complementary pretzels, popcorn and sunflower seeds which was a nice pair to the beer. The trivia was very well done and had a good sound system so you could hear it clearly. We will definitely be back. I would highly recommend this place if you’re looking for somewhere to have a great beer and conversation!

If you want a cheers atmosphere, with some excellent beer selection, this is your place. We live 6 mins away and how have now designated it, our watering hole. The bartenders are excellent, they make you feel like you been coming for years on your first time. The clientele is friendly and you always meet cool new people. This place is a hidden gem.

What Ales You is an amazing little joint with a large selection of very unusual beer on tap. The selection seems to be different every time we go. I’m not really a big fan of bars anymore, but this place is different. Everyone, employees and patrons, always have a great attitude. There’s live music on certain nights, trivia, and often a delicious food truck waiting outside. Many people who go here are regulars, but if you only go once, they’ll treat you with the same kindness and respect as if you went everyday. There’s usually a nice dog or two wandering around – they’re very pet friendly. We bring our five year old daughter because it’s even a great environment for her. She loves getting her own root beer and just hanging out, dancing around, and playing one of the many board games that they have available. The owner is extremely nice and is always blowing up balloons for her and treating her as if she were family. I really can’t speak highly enough of this place and would recommend you at least check it out!

Fantastic, relaxing atmosphere. Good selection of beers and wines – not too big, but all good choices, something for everyone. Lots of activities and events throughout the week and weekend for being able to meet people and have fun. Keep in mind you will need to bring your own food, but you can bring whatever you wish, and there’s a nice selection of restaurants around the bar. Overall, a great experience for someone just wanting to chill out and enjoy their evening with friends.
