The fish is some of the best around. My only gripe with them is the last two times they either gave me 2 or 3 pickles, and the other time, they didn’t give me any pickles or onions. They need to start checking behind whoever has that job.

I ordered whiting dinner, fish was fresh and cooked very well, the fries were soggy no salt. My guy ordered tripe sandwiches with fries, got tripe but no fries. We got a lot of food for our money. We plan to order from here again soon.

Stopped here because it was close to where i was visiting and Mom wanted some catfish steaks. Service was great, food not so much. I ordered the catfish steak dinner with okra and fries. My mom was unsatisfied and i stay south so by the time i would’ve had a chance to bring it back, it would’ve been pointless. She said the fish was overcooked and the sides were okay. Unfortunately I didn’t get a chance to take pictures.

I had been looking for another good black, owned fish, restaurant, other than mothers. Even though I like mothers fish, there aren’t many around…. When I found the Fishhouse, I realize I had found a home.. it’s a family owned business, and their fish is fresh and fried well. They even have good sides, and I don’t usually eat everyone’s side dishes.
