It’s like eating at your Mamaw’s house!! My husband had the fried chicken and said it was delicious. I had the hamburger steak with onions. It was tender and had great flavor. Glenda was friendly and knew all her locals by name and what they wanted to eat and drink before they sat down. She’s been there 40 years. We’ll definitely go back when we are in the area again.

The food is great! I got a chicken tender dinner with fries and corn nuggets and I couldn’t be happier! Just remember, no credit/debit cards, they accept cash and Cash App. I needed a few minutes to setup cash app and Glenda was already offering to cover my food when she noticed I was having some trouble! I couldn’t accept her generous offer and I was able to pay, but the grace shown to an absolute stranger was beyond expectation. I recommend checking this place out.

Wonderful fried chicken and cheeseburger. Hand-cut French fries were hot until I finished them. Excellent service, down home atmosphere. Nothing fancy, just good food served with a smile.

Great little place for some home cooking. We stopped here on a road trip because I couldn’t handle any more fast food. The fried chicken and fries were great so were the onion rings. All of the ladies were very polite and nice. I would definitely go back.

This place is yummy! We stopped this morning for breakfast and got eggs(perfectly cooked over medium), grits, bacon, sausage, toast and biscuits & gravy. Every single item worth the mention! We will be back to try the whole menu! Looks like it is not open Saturdays.

This might be the only business around that goes by three different names. The locals call it “Miss Ann’s”, the phone book used to list this place as “A&A Restaurant”, but when you call, the phone is answered “The Chicken Place”. No matter what you call this cozy little restaurant, it is an oasis in the countryside for the local residents.

Many in larger cities dine out for the pleasure of dining out, but in this tiny little community of less than 180 people this restaurant is a necessity for those that live alone and depend on this place for a daily meal. In short, this place serves a vital need for the community, and we are all grateful that it is here for us.

Miss Ann and her family serve up a delicious good ole country meal daily as she and her family have been doing for many years now.

Is it fancy? No. But, what you will be served up is a good home-cooked meal with friendly service. You will not leave here hungry. The portions are hearty. Personally I would recommend the fried chicken or fried catfish plate along with some lace cornbread.  Or, one of their hamburgers.  It is all good.

I’m appalled by the harsh criticism leveled at this place by a couple of Google reviews. My guess is these comments are from ‘outsiders’ that were expecting the amenities that they are accustomed to in the bigger city restraurants. These comments really hurt, especially when the family is trying so hard to make a living in the face of rising food costs and other inflationary costs.

Come on in. Expect a hearty meal served by those that care. Feel the love.

I like coming here and bringing new guests. Not only is Allentown the best town in GA to live in, but they have their own restaurant set in the most conspicuous location, maybe a big sign would help, but its super easy to find. There you will find many eyes staring at you when you walk in because everyone knows everyone around here, one reason why I love bringing new people. Who are you? I love it. The food is southern cooking and the best you will find in the area for sale. Highly recommend coming at any time of the day, breakfast, lunch or dinner. Bring cash. There is an ATM at the bank just down the road, about a 30 sec drive away.

It’s like just walking into somebody’s kitchen, pulling up a chair, and then being fed like a king! Very comfortable little diner with good old fashioned southern cooking. The staff treats you like family. I’ve been twice, the second was on a Sunday during their lunch buffet. I left as happy and full as I would from Grandma’s house! You need to check this place out if you’re in the area… Especially if you like to eat!!!

Came in tonight for a burger and piece of catfish. Both were really good, really good tomatoes on the burgers. They even had siracha on the table, which is my go-to for fries. Only complaint was that the sweet tea isn’t great….but we were first-timers and were treated like family.
