This place comes with some baggage. First off the reviews clearly state the service can be a little touch and go. I felt like it was a Seinfeld episode when I walked in. A server immediately shouted “you sit in table 2!” The entire place was empty but she demanded where we must sit. The next group 5 minutes later who came in were told to sit in table 4 and they meekly said, “can we move?” Nope. The food menu came and what we ordered was delicious. The service was not terrible just not great. I felt my Vietnamese crepe was small and had almost nothing inside. It was not terrible but not the best. The appetizers were great. All in all it was a nice experience just come prepared to be told where to sit.

3 star as it does not accept Amex card. The Pho was tasty, fresh and delicious. Tried crispy chicken rice noodle pho. For Chicken noodle stir fry I wont say its Wow, neither its bad…just so so.

This was my first visit, our food was really good, and served very quickly! It seemed a fair price considering inflation, and the portions were large. Everything was super fresh! We didn’t have any issues with service and were seated and helped quickly.

Great pho place!! You can tell it’s going to be good as soon as you walk in the door and smell that amazing pho cooking. The staff was super nice and you can tell they really care. The veggies served with the pho were fresh and plentiful. The broth had a great flavor and the meat slices were a good size. This place definitely hits the spot when you’re looking for a nice bowl of pho.

Surprisingly I found this authentic Vietnamese place around Bloomington IL I was like WHATTTTT? Impossible but this place makes any impossiblities come true! I’m Vietnamese and I am pretty sure this is so authentic. If you dont want to drive all the way to Chicago for the Vietnamese Authentic food, this is the place!

Our recent visit to Pho Bowl will have to be our last.
My brother is very sick and all he wanted for his birthday was Pho. He got the P11, which is Pho Hal San with Shrimp, Crab Meat and Pork. He chose this specifically because it had pork.
We ordered a pickup and came home with our food.
We start to dole out the food (we ended up having to cook the round steak ourselves but that’s not an issue) and realize there is no pork in the P11.
So we call the store, and are told that their menu has changed and they no longer put pork in the P11. There is no indication of a change to the menu, anywhere. No signs in the store, no mention during the order, nothing on the website. We ordered this dish specifically for the pork. We paid extra for the pork. The receipt says pork. We were not offered an alternative, compensation or anything to resolve this.
Whoever was on the phone just kept repeating that there was no pork in the dish we ordered. No apology.
Pho Bowl has delicious food but they unfortunately are not trustworthy when it comes to their dish ingredients or communication about menu changes.

Great local place to enjoy authentic Vietnamese food. I had the Pho and my wife had a shrimp/rice dish. Both were excellent! When ordering from the online menu, you may want to make sure the menu matches what you want. There was some confusion on my wife’s order, but the folks quickly and easily rectified the issue. Will definitely be back.
