First time getting takeout here – on Christmas day, no less. Our favorite Chinese takeout in town closed and the two that are left aren’t very good so we made the 15 minute drive to Torrington.
The quality was top notch. We tried the steamed dumplings (large and stuffed well), beef w/ broccoli, chicken and shrimp lo mein (huge pieces of shrimp), pepper steak and onions, and garlic shrimp. The portions were above average and the prices were below average. The taste of everything was fresh and delicious. What more could you ask for. Will be a returning customer.

Decent Chinese food. Exactly what you’d expect out of takeout. Pricing is very good, flavor is good. Very generous portions (especially the Lo Mien) Nothing is exceptional or notable but a solid decision for takeout in a rush. General Tso’s was soggy but thick sauce. A little on the sour side. The Lo Mien was very good with great flavor. The Crab Rangoon’s were soggy but had good flavor inside. Egg roll was very good. Took the typical 10 minutes from order to pickup. Can’t dock it any points because it’s what you’d want out of takeout.

I’ve been getting food here for year’s…. I’ve tried every Chinese place in torrington and they’re by far the best. They’re consistent and portions are priced very fair.

1st and last time ordering from this place.
I ordered the chicken teriyaki sticks and steamed dumplings. The chicken sticks looled under cooked and tasted rotten. I only had a bite and left the rest. The dumplings were over sized saggy with no consistency and did not tast good at all. The dumpling sauce I can make better at home. In addition to the bad food is also overpriced. I paid $16 for 3 sticks and 6 dumplings. Save your money and aggravation go somewhere else. I know I will.

the best chinese in CT not just torrington, taste just like ny chinese food brought me back to the good ole city days everytime i go. They only take cash but prices is cheap the mom that runs the place is so nice and so helpful all the cooks show love when you come in as well. Honestly the only place i get chinese from now.
