Wow what a great place! Matt the bartender had wonderful suggestions and great conversation we appreciated his input. We had several items from the menu and each one was delicious. We had the olives warm with vermouth… yum, then the dates… yum again followed by the Brie and ham sandwich. Can’t wait to go back when it’s warmer to experience the outdoor place . This is a great option they also have lots of mocktails to choose from as well after cocktails we headed over to the coffee house and patisserie. Again so delighted at the many delicious treats to choose from! Stop by and experience a special time hit th gallery while you are there too. Included a picture from the coffee house

This is an ultimate summer spot in Detroit!! What a cool concept, amazing outdoor space next to an art gallery and a coffee shop. Serves nice drinks and has small snacks to offer. Wish they had more food options but considering they’ve only been open for 8 weeks my server told they’re still figuring out the menu items. Very reasonable prices and good collection of alcohol. The place is buzzing and I have a good feeling about this place that it’s going to be a huge success and people of Detroit are going to absolutely love it! It’s a pet friendly establishment so that’s an add on. Also coffee shop “Warda” next door is a must go on your visit to Father forgive me. Thank me later

Fun new spot on the east side that opened in June, next to an art gallery and award winning patisserie, just a few blocks from the Lantern building in a budding micro retail district. Trendy atmosphere with open indoor/outdoor seating, perfect for summer. Great beverage curation and wine selection. Good service, small bites but quality food – we had the tinned fish and salad special a fresh watermelon feta and cucumber. The only downside was a lot of bees.

We had such a great time at Father Forgive Me in Detroit! The atmosphere is unique and inviting, and the cocktails are outstanding. Our bartender, Joseph, made the experience even better—he was friendly, knowledgeable, and crafted each drink with so much care. He really went above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful Sunday afternoon. Highly recommend both the bar and Joseph if you’re looking for an excellent spot in the city!

A gorgeous spot for a drink and snack. They have an amazing wine list and creative cocktails. Highly recommend the baguette, ham and jam or the tinned fish for an appetizer. The space is lovely—it’s an indoor, outdoor area with lots of tables outside in the garden. A new favorite in Detroit!

Absolutely adore this outside space. It kind of reminds me of another place called The congregation first time here. Pleasant, clean, nice great atmosphere. Kid-friendly drinks were on point. Wine choices were nice. Atmosphere was to die for definitely will recommend and come back. They also have an area where you can sit on the grass and have a picnic next door. They have a bed and breakfast located right next door!!

Vibes are divine at this one – this bar is on the backside of the nationally renowned “The Shepherd” art gallery and event space.
What’s incredible and unique is the seamless indoor/outdoor experience at Father Forgive Me – there are so many unique seating spaces outside along a pebbly walking path.
The bar staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable – I’m very excited for a return visit!
Parking is easy either on the streets adjacent to Father Forgive Me or in the gravel parking lot on the south end of the building.
A bonus is the ability to walk around the beautiful outdoor sculptures and skate park on your way into and out of Father Forgive Me.

Forgive Me Father Bar blew me away. The inside is stunning moody, stylish, and full of energy, but the outdoor seating is where it really shines. Sitting out there feels like you’ve been transported Up North, MI surrounded by nature, a little escape tucked right into the city. The vibe is both lively and peaceful at the same time, and it’s the kind of place you don’t want to leave once you’ve settled in.

What a unique experience. Craft cocktail masters behind the beautiful bar, families welcome, art to view, people to see. Looking to impress a date with something different… this is the place.
Would make a great location for a special dinner/event.
