We went for take out and Paul (Manager) at benihana gave us spoiled food. Rice was slimy chicken was hard and undercooked with old ingredients. Rice was slimy and sticky from being old and had no real fresh flavor. The two orders of California rolls where so tiny and I guess they where okay you can find better samples at the frozen section in Ralph’s. The RA Chicken Rice bowls with Beef and Shrimp where disgusting.
UPDATE: I called the restaurant to talk to Paul, I felt obligated to let him know to not sale this to anybody else someone could get SICK. He offered to make new from scratch and said this has never happened before, I told him my appetite was ruined and did not trust (Its true) I said I could bring the food to him so he could smell the spoiled smell of it. He, instead offered to open my order/receipt again to refund what I paid to my bank card. Said I should wait 7 days to see it back in my account. I promised to take this down if he did. Regardless I will be back with an update. WARNING Keep on eye, take precautions, you don’t want to get food poisoning and mistaking it for COVID and get denied medical attention. Nowadays things are like that. What a downer, it was my first time at Benihanas (RA Sushi).

I should have looked at the reviews on this place before ordering food so thats my mistake. But now that im reading the comments it made sense i did a online order and once i arrived to the restaurant i ask the lady at the front desk where is the pick up order located and she directed me to around the corner to the right on the black table so i went and i waited for someone to help me for a good 6 min i was standing there with people just staring, i asked the people that work there and all 4 people that pass by me completely ignored me like i was invisible. So thats horrible customer service.Until an awesome girl ask me if i needed help and she finally got my order. Then i thought driving home hopefully their food is better then their customer service and i sadly was wrong. Spring rolls burnt and shrimp rice look like they just cut one shrimp and called it a day. Moral of the story read reviews on a place before spending your money.

RA Sushi is the sushi bar portion of the Downey Benihana
Not being a standalone RA Sushi, I called the day prior to ascertain if the Ra Sushi Birthday Month Food Credit was honored here. I was told the affirmative.
Arriving the next day, after being seated, it took a good 10-15 minutes before an attendant asked if I’ve been helped. I showed her the email promo, and she said he had to ask her manager. The manager was across from the sushi bar, and he said they don’t accept the promo. I informed him I called yesterday, and told the promo was accepted at the restaurant, and he didn’t budge on his position.
Wasting time, not to mention my patience with the wait to be helped, the Downey Benihana left me with an unpleasant experience.
I do not recommend patronizing this restaurant.

I ordered the crispy tuna it was overcooked and burnt. It was so hard. I can barely chew it with little to no tuna and I ordered the noodles were mushy. There was no green onions. The egg looked old. I couldn’t even eat it. I literally spent $40 on dog food, and my dog didn’t even want it. He walked away from it will never order from here again on top of the fact that I waited an hour and a half for the food because it wasn’t ready, but the tuna was overcooked. The noodles were cold when I put the broth on it the noodles were mushy some looked like they were cooked in the other ones look like they have been sitting in the refrigerator way too long very disappointed very very, very disappointed.
