I ordered two tacos with rice and beans, and I thought it was a rip off. They are the smallest tacos I’ve ever seen (I can fit it in the palm of my hand and they were 3.50 a piece), the rice was plain white rice with corn in it, and the beans were like a bean soup almost. Their other food looked good, but the basic things I got were not good at all in my opinion.

My wife and I tried their empanadas asada-beef and machete asada-beef and we were surprised at the size of the items we got. Each empanada was around 5 inches across and the machete was close to a full foot long. The food was delicious and each order came with a spicier red salsa and a milder neutral Verde salsa to apply if desired to your dish. We felt like the price was fair for the amount of food you get and I am excited to try their breakfast items, tacos or burritos!

The flautas were perfectly crispy, and the empanadas were a great start. But those machetes? Wow. I tried two different kinds and the cheese was next-level. Plus, you can totally tell the tortillas are homemade – super fresh and delicious.
Seriously, so happy to have something this good on the west side. If you’re looking for unique, flavorful Mexican food, you have to try this place!
