The food here was so yummy! I had the shrimp rice bowl and I enjoyed every bit of it. All of the vegetables were fresh and very filling. The portions were really generous and the food came out super hot which I love. The atmosphere was inviting fun and cute. The outdoor space is my favorite, especially under some shade and on a lovely summer day with a nice breeze. I also had a Hi Barbie which was also really refreshing. My friend had the chicken dumplings and really enjoyed it. I wish the dumplings came with a special sauce that would really make it super yummy. I plan on coming back and try more things on the menu.

Outdoor patio is great in the summer. The dishes are very generous and more filling than you would expect. Cocktails are also really good. I recommend the spare ribs, steak, and Dan Dan noodles. The service was wonderful.

We visited this restaurant last night, and it exceeded all our expectations. The food and drinks were absolutely delicious, the servers were friendly and attentive, and the décor created a warm, cozy atmosphere.
When the staff knew we were celebrating my graduation, the chef was kind enough to treat us to a free dessert — such a thoughtful surprise! It was our first visit, but it certainly won’t be our last. Highly recommend!

We booked a table at Cocolee on Saturday night and sat out on the patio deck. The ambiance was relaxed and inviting, with music that enhanced the mood without overpowering conversation. Despite the crowd, we were seated within 5 minutes of checking in, which set a positive tone early on.
Our table shared 4 plates: papaya salad, miso steak, lemongrass chicken dumplings, and blue crab rangoons. The variety made for a fun, tapas-style experience, but the presentation felt rushed and visually unrefined. Dishes also came out sporadically, which disrupted the flow of the meal and made it harder to enjoy everything together.
In terms of flavor, everything was fine, but played it safe. Those expecting bold, authentic Southeast Asian profiles may be underwhelmed. A few touches, like a chili dipping sauce for the dumplings, could have added much needed dimension. I found the rangoons were a bit undercooked as the shells were soft.
Service was mixed. While the host staff was efficient and friendly, other aspects felt uneven. Clearly a sign the team is still finding their rhythm. My mocktail (bartender’s choice) tasted like straight lemon juice and arrived with a visible fingerprint on the rim. A small but noticeable lapse in presentation and hygiene.
The total came to about $85 with tax and tip (four plates, one mocktail, and one beer). While the food didn’t quite do it for me, the inviting atmosphere, quick seating, and potential for improvement make it worth considering for a laid back evening out, especially as the service continues to settle in.

Cocolee at Assembly Row was a great experience overall. The service was excellent, and the place is beautifully designed. While a few dishes could use a bit more flavor, the cocktails were absolutely 10/10.

The restaurant’s vibe is great, has an outdoor bar/patio. The atmosphere is really nice. The drinks were also realllllyyyy good and pretty. I think I’d only come back for the drinks though. The food needs a lot more oomph, missing a lot of umami. You would think a SE Asian restaurant would use fish sauce more lol.

Had a really lovely dinner at Cocolee with some friends. The space is beautiful with warm lighting, plush seating, and art deco details in green and gold that make it feel both stylish and inviting. It’s an ideal spot for a date night or a slower dinner with friends where you can actually hear each other talk.
We started with the Da Nang cocktail and the non-alcoholic option I had was just as good. You definitely don’t feel like you’re missing out by getting a zero proof option. The miso skirt steak appetizer was tender and flavorful and had a unique Asian pear diced up for some sweetness and texture.
I also recommend the lemongrass chicken dumplings (honestly all of the hand-made dumplings are a smash hit) and Singapore noodles which I struggle to find on menus so this was a great surprise!
This isn’t your average neighborhood takeout joint, and it’s not trying to be. If you’re looking for something a little more refined and are open to trying dishes that might be new to you, this is the place to be. Quality ingredients, attentive staff, and an atmosphere that actually makes dinner feel like an experience, this place is worth your time. Cannot wait to come back and bring more friends and family!
