4 days later…treated my Sister to Sunday Brunch for her bday ….those Mimosas “took us through there”!!
As for the waitress..”NEVER” start cleaning up if a person is still eating, and on the same plate at that…just started grabbing…very rude, not sure what was going on there but we kept it cute . She wasn’t engaging with us anyway. I came for my sis and to try brunch….did that!

Bre was an absolute amazing waitress! It was our first time here today and it is my birthday. We made reservations and I was greeted with a birthday cocktail and it was delicious! I had the lamb chops, mashed potatoes and collard greens. The chops were definitely the star!! My husband had the Rasta pasta with shrimp and lamb chops and his entire plate was finger licking good! We will definitely be back soon. The drinks were absolutely delicious as well.

Well well well, found a keeper. This bar is more like a corner neighborhood bar with comfort food. They have TV’s available everywhere you can see while y drink and stuff your face. I personally recommend the greens and cornbread for now, until I try the other food. My chicken was good as well as the rest of my sides. Don’t know how long it’s been right outside the bishop arts district but it’s great. Drive a couple miles down from the busy district and cross Hampton for this awesome treat. It’s still on Davis st just pass all the congestion.

We decided to give this place a try despite the negative reviews, and unfortunately, they were accurate.
The restaurant is in a very off-putting location that doesn’t match the advertised vibe or aesthetic. We had 1:30 p.m. reservations on a Sunday and waited a few minutes to be seated while the hostess searched for an available server. That wasn’t a big issue. What was concerning was the smell inside, there was a noticeable sewage odor, and the building itself feels very old and poorly maintained.
We took an hour-long Uber to get there, so turning around wasn’t really an option. Our server eventually came over, she was kind and clearly stretched thin across several large tables, so the delay was understandable. The water cups were plastic, worn down, and visibly old, which didn’t set a great tone.
Because of the wait, we ordered drinks and food at the same time. The cocktails came in small standard glasses, and the shots we ordered (Don Julio) looked noticeably under-poured, less than an ounce. After waiting quite a while for our food, the server apologized and offered us a complimentary “mini” shot to make up for it. It definitely was not Don Julio, and we weren’t told what it actually was.
The catfish finally arrived, small pieces, but hot, fresh, and well seasoned. The sides were good as well. To be fair, the DJ was on point and the overall vibe was there.
When we ordered a third round (same exact drinks), they came out in noticeably smaller cups. We were told they had “run out of cups.” We politely explained that we weren’t comfortable paying the same price for a drink that filled barely half the original glass (we compared them). The bartender responded with visible attitude and theatrics before sending over another small “mini” shot of unknown liquor to smooth things over.
At that point, we decided to close out our ticket to head home. Our total was $187 for three drinks each, two catfish meals, and one shot.
There are serious customer service and operational improvements needed, from the old plastic cups, to inconsistent pour sizes, to substitute liquor being served without transparency, to the unpleasant odor in the building. It’s disappointing because the vibe and music are there, but atmosphere alone doesn’t justify subpar business practices.
I love supporting our people and our spaces, but not at the expense of being played with when it comes to my time and money. This place needs a serious revamp and stronger management oversight before we would consider returning.

I had a friend in town from New Mexico. I have been wanting to try this place for months, and this was the perfect opportunity. We were greated immediately upon walking in by the cutest young lady named Lyrik. The service all around was outstanding the food lamb chops was amazing. The drinks definitely on point. I would absolutely go again. I met the Chef’s. Chef Tyrone and Wallace. I look forward to visiting again.

We initially went in for their $150 tacos, bottle, and hookah but ended up catching happy hour and just ordered separately.
The vibes were dope. They were decorating for Christmas so there were cute grinch, Santa, and candy cane decor it was sooooo cute.
We had the Hawaiian sliders & spinach dip that was our favorite dish out of the remainder of food we ate. Outside of that we had taco plates and shrimp deviled eggs that was pretty spicy probably from the blackened seasoning but it was still good.
THE DRINKS ARE STRONG but that just means you get your monies worth. I had the Gotta Luv It and it was sooooooo strong we had to chase it with the Taste The Rainbow that tasted like snow cone also really good. But if you drink Gott Luv It make sure you drink only ONE and have someone to cuddle with at home.

Victor’s Restaurant & Bar was such a vibe! My husband and I went for one of their Puff & Paint events, and we absolutely loved it. The atmosphere was fun, relaxed, and perfect for a date night. The energy was great, and once night hit it definitely felt like a club, which made it even more exciting. The food and drinks were good, and overall we had a really enjoyable experience. There’s always room for a little improvement, but I would definitely recommend checking out Victor’s especially for their events. We’ll for sure be back!

1st time here and WILL be returning! Nyle’s customer service was top tier! The restaurant was decorated for V-Day so it was super cute. The food was 10/10!! Somebody’s Grandma put her foot in the collards…Chef’s kiss!! Fish was fried to perfection and the Mac-n-cheese did not disappoint. This is a “hidden gem”. Don’t be alarmed by the outside appearance because the inside is Beautiful and Clean!!! Parking is located “behind” or in the back of the restaurant.
