The reviews are very misleading and also is TikTok. The restaurant was not very busy during my visit. And I still received unacceptable food. For a $14 platter it is very ridiculous burnt sausages nowhere near halfway filled home fries. I will not be returning.

First I would like to say I was eager to try a different place to eat. I was truly disappointed. I ordered the shrimp and grits, It was horrible the gravy was burnt and the grits were bland. I also ordered the waffle breakfast platter with turkey sausage and received french toast with scrapple. They offered a remake when I called. No I just want my money back.

I am a new customer. I ordered fish and grits and a rib dinner with mac n cheese n collards greens. Both were reasonably priced.
Both meals were delicious. The grits were buttery n the fish was seasoned to perfection n not too salty.
The ribs were tender n had plenty of sauce I was so happy to see that the collards were fresh n not canned! The mac was nice n cheesy. This is now my go to soul food place!

Bbq Baked chicken was more like baked chicken soup. Chicken with soft baked, which means sodr skin all over . disgusting!
Collard greens and mac and cheese or mediocre.
I ordered lemon cake and got banana pudding. I don’t even eat bananas. They could have at least called and said they were out of lemon cake or gave me a different flavor and asked if it was okay. Banana pudding is not a replacement.
