Beautiful location, upscale & obvious fine dining. The food, the ambiance, the drinks, the seating, all excellent. I won’t waste anyones time, if you are into upscale French dining, and you find yourself in The Bahamas, specifically-in Bahamar area- look no further than Café Boulud @ The Rosewood. Everything we had was excellent except- if I must admit, the mashed potatoes. They were a little suspect. They were ok, but not great. Everything else we had was delicious and as Id expect in a restaurant with the namesake of Chef Danial Boulud. We highly recommend Café Boulud @ The Rosewood.

If you’re looking for a French dining experience, Café Boulud delivers. The quality of the ingredients and the techniques used in each dish were great. Highly recommend getting the Chilled Poached Lobster, White Gazpacho and the Duck. Unfortunately, for the value, the portions are extremely small even for a French restaurant and the desserts need to be improved. With that being said, the service was good. Tip: don’t come here if you’re starving.

Café Boulud – Baha Mar ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I dined here last Monday upon arrival for a conference at ILTM North America, and I can honestly say — Café Boulud set the tone for my entire week. My reservation was at 8:30 p.m., and I ended up closing the restaurant, staying until almost midnight. It was one of those rare evenings where time slows down — just a few of us left, the lights soft, the music gentle, and the service impeccable.

Anthony, my waiter, deserves every bit of praise. His professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail made the evening unforgettable. Every course was perfection — elegant, balanced, and deeply satisfying. You can tell the team here takes pride in the guest experience from the first greeting to the final glass of wine.

For those who don’t know, Café Boulud originally hails from New York, and this location at Baha Mar is only the second in the world. What a privilege to experience this level of culinary excellence right here in the Bahamas.

As a global foodie and Google reviewer (Michelle Rodriguez Suarez — follow along for more worldwide dining stories ✨), this was my first Baha Mar restaurant review — and what a way to begin. Absolute perfection!

The place is extremely beautiful. The service at first was amazing but after we got our entrees the server was no where to be found, no one checked in on us. I had the salmon as my entre and it was extremely dry. I thought the coconut curry would help with it and although the flavor was great, it was just dry. No one checked on us so I could not say anything I just ate as much as I could so my fiances dinner did not get cold. We did order a side of mashed potatoes and those were a bit cold as well. Overall pretty unhappy considering how expensive everything was.

Service was phenomenal and the atmosphere was stunning. The food, overall, was just okay.

I started with the jerk tuna — it was seasoned well and ended up being my favorite dish of the night. Next came the Caesar salad, which was plentiful and fresh.

For the mains, I had the duck and the salmon. The duck portion was very small and extremely chewy — I understand duck tends to be that way, but this was borderline bubblegum texture. The salmon was better, paired with a small portion of white rice and curry. The fish itself was a little dry, but the rice and curry were flavorful and well-prepared.

For desert the lava cake and espresso was a good choice.

We’ve dined at Café Boulud three times now, and each visit has only reinforced what we’ve come to know: this is one of the finest dining experiences anywhere, consistently exceptional in every way. From the moment you’re greeted, the atmosphere and staff create an elevated yet warm and welcoming experience that makes you feel like you’re in for something special—and you are.

The food is simply astounding. The duck I’ve now had on two occasions is hands-down the best I’ve had anywhere. It’s perfectly prepared, intensely flavorful, and unforgettable. But it’s not just the mains—every course is treated with care and precision. The fresh bread is heavenly, the appetizers are creative and refined, and the desserts? Mind-blowing. They’re the kind of desserts that make you pause mid-bite and smile.

This time, we brought our twin boys with us, and they both said it was the best restaurant they’ve ever eaten at—and that’s saying something from two discerning little diners! Watching their faces light up with every course made the night more memorable.

Café Boulud at the Rosewood is more than just a great meal—it’s a beautifully orchestrated experience from start to finish—exceptional food, impeccable service, and an atmosphere that manages to be both elegant and comfortable. We can’t wait to return.

This restaurant is in the Grand Hyatt Bahamar complex and the whole place is amazing. The Café Boulud is one of the best in terms of atmosphere as it has indoors and outdoors sitting, and it is gorgeous outdoors! However, that’s where the good ends.

The service was generally ok, but they need more training. I asked for a second order of the bread multiple times, and it was never delivered. Food left a lot to be desired. The family generally was ok with it but mine, the pasta with shrimp and lobster, was horrendous! I found one shrimp in there and perhaps 3-4 small pieces of lobster. The worst was the pasta sauce, which looked like ragu. It tasted nothing like what was advertised. And it was just plain bad, so much so I returned it to the kitchen (and I don’t normally return food). The kicker is that they still charged me for that entree. For the price they charge (hint: very expensive) it was disappointing to say the least. Never going back there.

Service was very good. Server was friendly and knowledgeable about the food menu.. Bar was out of the port I ordered so they had to go somewhere to get it. The table next to me had the same problem with the wine they tried to order. Overheard a guest explaining what a kir royal is to the server.
Beautiful restaurant, nice atmosphere.
Food was not great, not even good. I had the tuna tataki. The tuna was old and flavorless. The highlight of the dish was a very tasty cucumber relish, but even this could not save the dish. For entre I had the fillet with foie gras. The foie gra was seasoned and seared perfectly. The filet was very tuff, dry, and not seasoned. My guess is that it was cooked in advance and then reheated. As a side I got the green salad. The greens were very crisp and fresh. The salad was very basic with chopped romain and carrots and a very tart vinaigrette.
With a glass of wine and a glass of port this was a $300 meal. I expected to pay this. And I expected to have some really exceptional food. Only one of my expectations was met. This would be one star review if I was thinking about only the food. The food server and atmosphere helped to push it up to 2 stars.
I would not return or recommend.

If I could give it 10 stars, I would. A place where the word perfect fits perfectly! The taste and atmosphere were, of course, amazing. And the kindness of the staff kept our mouths, eyes, and all our senses alive throughout the dinner. So we rebooked for brunch on the last day of our vacation.
