Chef Lin and Alex are amazing people who create amazing food. Two of the nicest people I’ve ever met. I can’t say if it’s authentic Burmese food or not since I’ve never had this type of Cuisine anywhere else, but it is absolutely delicious. The shrimp chili paste with tamarind is some of the best stuff I’ve ever had. The little banana desserts she brings out are phenomenal. Don’t sleep on those snack hacks either. Beef balachaung and shrimp balachuang are my favorites and I buy them weekly. I’m not a huge fan of the actual Market since they do some shady business, but that has nothing to do with this restaurant and the people who work there. Alex is a former Marine who spent 12 years serving his country. Absolutely love this place and highly recommended. I haven’t had a single thing on the menu that wasn’t delicious.

Delicious!! The laksa bowl was one of my favorite soups I’ve ever gotten from a restaurant. When they say the broth is complex, they are correct. I love it. Try it with the tamarind sauce on the side and for dip. Don’t forget to add the lime. The Burmese tofu was also excellent, surprisingly creamy with a crisp exterior! I also enjoyed the milk tea.

Delicious laksa noodle soup @ St Roch Market! Love the combination of toppings and rich broth. Also reasonably priced considering being located at a touristy spot.

My first time inside this food court! I was delightfully, surprised to see so many good options and decided to go with Lux Nola. They have a large menu with lots of unique options that you can get elsewhere. I got the noodles. When the food came out, it was huge portion sizes, a little bit confused on the pricing since it didn’t seem to match on the menu, I think on the menu it was around $17 and some change however, the total after tax came to be around $22. The noodles are great, lots of flavor with a splash of Lime taste in it. The chicken was underwhelming, it was more on the dry and cold side. Overall, it’s a good place to get Asian food.

Laksa NOLA is so delicious and affordable in comparison to other prices in the city. The owners are so nice and sweet. The menu has everything you need to know with pictures to help you decide, but I highly recommend the Laksa soup and Yangon Khauk swè noodles. Enjoy!

Randomly discovered St. Roch Market the first night in town, and then was even more excited to find laksa! I’m Indonesian, and finding good Southeast Asian food is always a top priority for me when I’m in a new city. This little place hit the mark. If I ever find myself in New Orleans again, I’ll be eating here again for sure.

Excellent experience. Had been watching Uncle Roger so much that it finally hit me to find a Malaysian restaurant in Nola. So glad I found Laska Nola. Excellent authentic food. So flavorful. I cleaned my dish and ramekins. Stellar customer service by the owner. What more can I say? I will definitely return soon and highly recommend this gem. Thank you!

Takin’ this goodness to go, still so good a half hour later on an outdoor excursion. Crisp and clear were all the ingredients in how they interacted with one another, fresh bites and just enough flavor to savor for the holy moment. Lasting memories which I’m grateful Laksa could be a part of.
