Wow! I have visited over 300 Mexican restaurants in the Midwest and this one is BY FAR the best! Incredible flavor! Incredible service! Incredible portions.

Been here many times but our meal last night was one of the best we’ve had. New menus, new flooring, food came out fast as usual. This is the place to go for Mexican food in Northeast Iowa.

The food was some of the best Mexican food I have had in a long time. The service was okay; in my opinion, she took too long to check on me, bring me the food, and bring the check after I asked. The atmosphere was fine, not very busy, which is what you expect from a restaurant in a small town. All in all, not a bad place to eat good food.

Food and service were awesome! Very authentic. Little bit of difficulty with communication because of my bad spanish. Very reasonably priced. Older Hispanic gentleman cooking who looks like a seasoned pro. Had 3 different street tacos and a Mexican beer. Place could be remodeled but original Mexican art work is beautiful. Off the beaten path and I’ll be stopping again! 4 stars because of authentic food, price and service! ♥

Not a terrible place for a tiny town, but not very impressive.

From the beginning the place looked dirty. There was old food on the floor and tables. The bathroom smelled like pee and there was poop all over the toilet. The server was horrible, the salsa tasted like it was in the refrigerator for months, all of the food was a big soggy mess. The burritos were gooey and flavorless. The guacamole looked like there was a film on top, DID NOT TRY. The rice was flavorless. It tasted like everything was frozen and then cooked. All of our dishes had a “mystery meat” that looked like processed squares of steak. I love Mexican food and we drove a half hour to try this place because I read the reviews. I usually don’t do reviews but I was very disappointed. I do not recommend at all.

Excellent Authentic Mexican food. The homemade salsa and the homemade guacamole were the best I’ve had. The fresh cilantro they used had a more delicate and a sweeter taste than I’ve experienced before. The burritos are very generous and delicious – so generous they should be called burros. Their house-made marinated pork is outstanding. The server was very nice, and the chef was proud of his cooking.

Authentic food served and cooked by polite staff. I love the salsa and the coke bottles! Recently rearranged things so the store and meat counter is now in back with the dine-in restaurant in front. Friendly owner. Fast service! I love both taco restaurants in town but this one is quicker.

I’m not reviewing the food. Just looked up the knockoff cologne priced at 100/ bottle, 50 if you get 2…. The bottle are 7.99 online. I mean come on. A little upcharge is ok, but for knock off like that? I should have known better. They still smell good though .
