The Sick Stag in downtown Nampa is a must stop for an excellent cocktail.

The atmosphere is very descrete as there are three private seating areas that can host from 5-8. Be sure to call ahead and to reserve one.

There is also a full bar to sit at if you are feeling more social, plenty of room and friendly faces.

The cocktails are phenomenal! I tried 3 and sampled another 4. I would gladly order all 7 of the drinks again.

Pricewise, the Sick Stag is on par if not a little more forgiving to the wallet than the speakeasy’s you would find in downtown Boise. But when you are going to out to have fancy cocktails you should expect to pay $15+. The Happy Hour specials were great (menu attached) and many drinks were $12 (if $3 is what helps you get there). We ordered 7 drinks and the bill was $97 without tip.

Hesitant on writing a review as I don’t want the place to get too packed, but they deserve the business. All of the staff we had contact with were super friendly, helpful, accommodating, knowledgeable, and always seems to be there right when we needdd them. Also, the bathrooms were very well maintained.

Definitely check this place out. Call for a reservation.

Super awesome vibe. Small but very cozy and personal. Great for a date night. Aaron made some delicious drinks! ALL of our cocktails that we tried were perfect! The Mother’s Milk, Penicillin and the Old Fashioned were made with skill and were fantastic! We had the flatbread pizza and the grilled cheese. Both were simple but so delicious! We will definitely be back.

I absolutely loved every minute we spent here! The drinks were beautiful and delicious, the food was decadent and the service was on point, even on a Thursday afternoon. I love the alcohol free options on the menus, and the happy hour menus had a lot of variety. The overall vibe of the place was relaxed but the atmosphere and aesthetic were dark and cozy. Setting the booths back in alcoves away from the bar means we can have a conversation and enjoy ourselves without being overwhelmed by the music and other patrons conversations. This place is a 10/10. Literally the only thing I can even think of would be to please please please add a charcuterie or cheese tray to the menu! That would really make this place shine!

Great little hide away! Service is excellent as are the drinks! They were more than happy to discuss options on the menu and truly wanted to know what we liked vs what they wanted to sell! $6 bar snacks?!?! Crazy good! Go check them out— youlll be glad you did! This is not your average bar!

Okay this place is RAD. It’s a really cool underground bar with so much to look at. If you want a booth, go to their website and make a reservation! They’re so cozy and private. My husband ordered the Rattlesnake and I ordered the Porn Star. Both = YUM! We also had the salmon dip and bar snacks! Also YUM! First we met Jonah who sat us and explained the menu & happy hour and he was fantastic! And then Sydney… SYDNEY and I became best friends! Lol! It was only her 3rd day and the way she took care of us, her knowledge and recommendations had me thinking she’d been there for years! Overall it was a perfect experience and I wish I could give more than 5 stars. We can’t wait to come back!

Drinks were fantastic and the bites were great! The atmosphere was quirky and fun. Loved the privacy of the booths and recommend making a reservation so you can get one! Excellent service! I wanted to order whatever came in the tea cup glasses I saw behind the bar, but they hadn’t finished perfecting it, so they made one of their other drinks and served it in the glass for me. Such a nice gesture!

Cool place. Door is located inconspicuously between two other business. You walk down stairs to find a dimmed bar with several seats and several nooks and cranny’s to hang out. It is well decorated. Two bartenders making drinks so a little slow if busy but worth the wait.

Nice menu of drinks with good range of classic and sweet cocktails. They play groovy music and the. The vibe is casual and comfortable.

They have a small food menu that looks interesting and will definitely try next time.

Service was prompt and very good.

I would definitely recommend this new place to anyone that wants a smaller vibey place with good drinks and service.

A hidden gem in Nampa! The Sick Stag is a fantastic bar tucked away beneath Paddles-Up Poke, and once you find it, you’ll be glad you did. The cocktails are crafted with a great selection of spirits and mix up classics with a creative twist. As you descend the stairs, you’ll notice the temperature drop a few degrees, offering a refreshing escape from the long hot days of summer. The atmosphere is simply awesome, with cozy seating adorned with a variety of taxidermy decorating the walls, creating a relaxed yet rustic vibe. Whether you’re catching up with friends or enjoying a date night, this place ticks all the boxes. Highly recommend checking it out if you’re in the area.
