One of my favorite spots for a reliable, delicious meal. I’ve been here many times and everything has always been great. The Stir-Fried Naan & Meat is a must-try, and the Garlic Lover’s Cucumber is fresh and flavorful. I always finish with their yogurt dessert — it’s my go-to after every meal and highly recommended. Friendly staff, clean space, and a nice loyalty rewards program.

This restaurant is a fantastic introduction to Uyghur cuisine, even if it’s your first time trying it.

The menu has plenty of approachable options, especially the lamb dishes, which are incredibly flavorful without being overwhelming. Everything we ordered was well-seasoned, satisfying, and clearly made with care. Portions are generous and great for sharing.

The atmosphere is casual and comfortable, making it an easy choice for a relaxed meal with friends or family. Highly recommended if you’re in the area and want something different from the usual.

I love the blend of spices here—you can really taste the influences from both East and West. The Boneless Big Plate Chicken is a must-try; it’s spicy, hearty, and the potatoes are cooked to perfection. For something refreshing, the Herdsman’s Delight Yogurt with walnuts and honey is a fantastic way to cool down the palate. It’s wonderful to have such high-quality, Halal-certified Asian fusion in Rowland Heights.

Update as of 11/2025: after our last not so good experience, we’ve finally returned to give another try. Luckily, new management (most likely the chef is new as well) appeared to have taken over. The Samsas were quite tasty with its fluffy crust. The lamb leg oil rice was as good as before and finally, the fried naan gave our taste buds something new to try and it was crunchy and tasty. The service was friendly and the young lady was delightful. This place has now once again became my favorite eatery in Rowland Heights.

Original: We’ve been here a few times in the past and have always enjoyed our food. Today, the place looked like it has been remodeled a bit and people are different than before. We ordered our regular big plate chicken and it was quite disappointing. There were a lot of chicken, but they were all overcooked, the flavor had became overpowering and the texture of the chicken was fibrous, not like it was freshly made. The lamb soup was pretty good and the lamb pancake was decent. The baked beef bao was subpar from before. The service was excellent and the young lad who served our table was friendly and helpful. Parking spaces weee a plenty compared to the past.

Honestly, should you crave real Uyghur food, skip anything else – this place stands out. Living here for years in Los Angeles, few spots serve good lamb, yet this one does it right. When it comes to halal lamb, nobody beats them across the city. One whiff of their Uyghur Polo hits you – it carries that rich lamb scent clear from afar. That smell? It doesn’t lie. Heavy on flavor yet light in feel, the Uyghur Polo brings together rice and carrots in a way that just works. Should you ever visit, tasting this meal isn’t optional – it finds its way into memory. Walk inside, and the space wraps you in details true to the Uyghur culture, every corner shaped by tradition. Dishes arrive on plates unlike any seen elsewhere – each one tells part of the story. People working there meet guests like old neighbors; their care shows without needing words. Once food lands before you, someone might lean in gently to offer extra spice tailored to what’s served. Start here, stay full – every bite works hard while kindness keeps the mood light. Trust that moment when flavors click, then realize you’ve found something real.

Great atmosphere and even better food! The mural inside creates such a cozy, upscale vibe for a casual restaurant. We came with a group and shared the Emperor’s Polo, and the slow-braised lamb leg was so tender it practically melted off the bone. We paired it with the Spiced Blossom Tea, which has a beautiful herbal aroma of cardamom and hibiscus. It’s the perfect place for a shared cultural experience.

Never tried Uyghur food before and was so impressed with the quality of food, service, and a bit of cultural experience via taste buds.

Big Plate Chicken was so flavorful, with perfectly textured hand-pulled noodles that grabbed onto the sauce well. Divine!

Lamb polo rice was rich and meticulously prepared to have little to no gamey-ness. The owners said this is because they insisted on the quality of Halal lamb imported from Australia, tastes cleaner than American lamb.

Yogurt dessert came with wholesome, real yogurt, unlike store bought versions, topped with honey and raisins. Very refreshing.

Also tried their salted milk drink and spices tea. Both excellent. Salted milk took me a bit to get used to. Appreciated the cultural experience without having to fly internationally.

The owners/servers are also beautiful inside and out, taking time to explain multiple things on their menus. Will definitely be back for more!

If you like bold flavors, you have to try the Stir-Fried Rice Noodle (Chicken)—the house-made sauce has a great spicy kick. I was also blown away by the Outer Frontier Style Lamb Ribs; they are seasoned simply with salt, cumin, and black pepper to let the quality of the meat shine. It’s a bit of a wait (about 25 minutes), but it is absolutely worth it for that charcoal-grilled taste.

Dolan’s Uyghur Cuisine stands out for its bold flavors and well-executed dishes.

The lamb is the highlight here — fragrant with cumin, perfectly cooked, and never gamey. The skewers are juicy and smoky, and the stir-fried dishes have that comforting, home-style feel with just the right amount of spice. You can tell the kitchen knows exactly what it’s doing.

Service is quick and straightforward, and the food comes out hot and fresh. This is a great spot if you appreciate strong, authentic flavors and generous portions.

You have to try the Uyghur Goshnaan, a handmade meat pie filled with a savory blend of beef and lamb—the black pepper spice gives it a perfect kick. We also loved the Pearl Noodle, which are finely cut-stir noodles that have a completely different texture than the long laghman. If you want something spicy to start, the Fresh & Spicy Tossed Salad with their house-style chili oil is the way to go.
