We went here for a birthday dinner and it was very disappointing. The front staff who greet you were very off putting and rude. The chef who made the hibachi was great and nice and very entertaining. The food however was not great. The lobster tasted horrible and was very tough. The steak was okay but under seasoned. The portion sizes were extremely small for paying $38 a plate. You would expect to get more than 5 bites per portion of protein. We had the fried calamari and the breading was great but it was super tough to chew through. The chicken was also very dry and tough to chew through. The veggies were great and so was the rice but that was the only good thing. I ordered 2 orders of sashimi of octopus and squid. The octopus tasted freezer burnt and was horrible. The squid was very good and tasted buttery and fresh. Within 10 minutes of eating they start bringing out take out boxes to try and get you out of there quicker. The waitress also tried to add an additional tip on without asking. We paid $300 and honestly I was disappointed with how the food tasted and the service. On top of that they add an automatic mandatory 18% tip for tables larger than 6 people. I would not dine here again.

Best sushi in cape girardeau!
Excellent service from Server Grace, very attentive and swift to refill my drink
Gorgeous presentation of Sashimi from both Sushi Chefs at the Sushi bar, kudos for them putting their hearts into every meal.
Extremely satisfied with this visit.
You really should try their sushis and sashimis if you are in Cape Girardeau.
Affordable price, a lot of parking spots

Good food.. Nice staff.. very friendly. My only complaint is the fact that they put yum yum sauce on my rice before I could stop them.. I know a lot of people love it.. but we do not. We prefer the traditional cuisine. The chef seemed really confused that we turned down his offer for the little bowls of the yucky stuff..

Here’s the deal! Took my children out for a family event after my daughter graduated the food was absolutely divine. Those guys put on a work of art with fire and for that I’m grateful. I have to tell you about the seasoning of the food we eat. Bar 9 top of the line you must come out and give this place a try. Great family atmosphere.

The food was really great. The downfall is they do not serve real matcha tea though.

My first time visiting a hibachi and it was a great experience. I went with my family and we had an amazing time. I chose salmon and chicken. We will definitely visit this establishment again.

The Hibachi chefs were very entertaining and skilled and it was a great experience for the kids! We received a very large helping of rice but all other portions were small. The NY strip steak was about 4-5 oz and not well seasoned. About 2/3 of the plates end up being rice and veggies.

Service was spot on, food was fresh and tasty! For the hibachi lunch it was great and the cook was entertaining. Very clean establishment and the music was enjoyable. I recommend for any day of dining. Very affordable as well.

Hands down the best sushi in the Midwest. Trust me- I’ve had them all. Until you get down to the bayou, there’s no competition. Kevin and Jiahao are top notch chefs- not to mention hilarious and gracious hosts.

One of my favorite places, the sea food soup is a hidden gem. The sushi is always fresh. And the habatchi is a lot of fun. Make sure you go there on your birthday, it’s a big deal.
Still amazing tuna roses taste better than real roses.
