Taco John’s is a true gem in the world of fast-food Mexican, offering a consistently satisfying and surprisingly high-quality experience that elevates it above the usual suspects. Their commitment to making items “Bigger. Bolder.” shines through in every bite, particularly with their signature menu items.
The star of the show, without a doubt, is the Potato Olés. These aren’t just seasoned tater tots; they are crispy, perfectly spiced rounds of potato goodness that are an absolute game-changer. Whether you enjoy them plain, smothered in nacho cheese, or as the incredible base for their Super Potato Olés, they are a reason to visit all on their own.
Beyond the iconic potatoes, the rest of the menu is equally appealing. The Meat and Potato Burrito is a flavorful, hearty monster that combines their seasoned beef, nacho cheese, sour cream, and the wonderful Potato Olés for a textural and taste sensation. It’s truly difficult to mess up, making it a reliable and delicious choice every time. Unlike some competitors who simply repackage the same ingredients, Taco John’s offers unique items like the Boss Burrito and their rotating limited-time offers, which feel more sincere and often pleasantly surprising.
The overall quality of the ingredients and the freshness—like frying their taco shells in-house daily—is noticeable. It might not be authentic Mexican cuisine, but it’s delicious, high-value “West-Mex” that is consistently satisfying, offering a better fast-food taco experience than many others. If you’re looking for a quick fix of spicy, crisp, and flavor-packed food that will actually fill you up, you can’t go wrong with Taco John’s.

The lady serving my friend and I was nice, the food however, not so much. My friend and I both got burritos and they tasted like someone had just washed their hands, and there was still soap on their hands when they rolled the burritos. The tacos and potatoes were fine.

Saw manager digging in his nose and not wash his hands before making the food. The actual food was tiny for the price and almost burnt. Tried to fill out the contact form but it wouldn’t let me submit it. Never go here, absolutely disgusting.

Most time’s it’s a good place to eat and good service this time not so much. Went through the drive through and person working drive through just seemed to rush through and never asked if there was anything else. told me to pull forward then when got to the window seemed annoyed that I said I wasn’t done. Canceled my order and left.

They need to ease up on the salt.
I know it’s fast food but when all you taste is salt seems kinda intentionally done. I miss when taco John’s actually tasted good.

The taco was too salty. The steak was burned. And 80 percent of the taco filled with lettuce. I ordered with uber eat. The rating was 4.6 there which is scam. The worst taco I ever eat. The worst meal I ever eat in my whole life. This restaurant must be closed due to the low quality. The food should go to trash

Potato oles weren’t seasoned. Tacos were missing lettuce. Look liked a bunch teenagers working, so definitely understandable. They’re learning and doing their best. Staff was very friendly and quick service.

The food was good, the girl who took my order waa good but the person I’m guessing was in charge really needs to learn how to talk to his employees when customers are around. To him he might be joking around but to an outsider he comes off as being incredibly rude and disrespectful to the employees.

I am a frequent flyer at this taco johns, but have had it. This is the 4th order in a row I’ve been screwed!!! I live 18 miles out in the country and am not going back for the correct food. I ordered 2 super burritos and received 2 PATHETIC regular burritos a lg potato ole and 2 lg drinks for a total of $22.76. No lettuce, no sour cream, no tomato. The only reason I gave you the benefit of the doubt is we like your food. No more, I’m done at this point I feel like it’s a bait and switch. I will either choke down taco bell or go to El Azteca.

Order a order through door dash and was told they could only make a taco salad without a shell and I couldn’t replace it with anything else on the menu.
