I love the atmosphere!!! The minute I walked in, I can smell the fresh and buttery pastries. The pastries aren’t too sweet and the bread is very fluffy. The banh mi is filled with great amount of cold meats and delicious, rich, fatty pate! Pair it with an ice Vietnamese coffee (less sweet would prefer) is a great combination!

I went to the grand opening of the new Café de Paris in Apple Valley and was so excited to finally have a French bakery nearby—no more long drives to Edina or St. Paul! I’ve already been back twice since then. They have a great selection of pastries and desserts that taste authentic and fresh. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting too.
The only thing I’d like to see improved is the customer service—it could be a bit more attentive and welcoming. Overall, though, I’m really happy this place opened in our neighborhood and will definitely keep coming back!

AMAZING! So so happy this opened up in my neighborhood. Their pastries and bread are impeccable, beautiful, and delicious! They have a wide assortment to choose from – everything from savory to sweet. Great prices, too! I bought a spinach croissant and creme brûlée croissant for about $5 each. The affordability and quality of this cute place will have me coming quite often.

First off Lesley that rang me up was so nice and welcoming, also very helpful as it was my first time here. I got a Blueberry Danish and oh man was it delicious! I absolutely recommend. I’ve never hadva Danish that good and will 100% be going back. I also got a Hazelnut and Mango moose cake but have not tried them yet but they looked so good I had to grab them. I did get a Cappuccino and wow was that good! Not overly sweet but so smooth and delicious. I’d get one everyday if Cafe De Paris wasn’t out of my way.

Incredible desserts and pastries. The croissant is had was soft inside and buttery, light and crispy on the outside. Just perfect. We shared several desserts as a group and each unique creation was bursting with flavor. Real fruit is used in each puree. The sandwiches were big and filled with meat and lots of butter. The staff are incredibly kind and patient. I’d love to offer free interior design services to the Owner to help elevate the decor to match the taste of this delicious bakery.

Very good croissants. Was hoping for more chocolate in the chocolate croissant, but it was still really crispy and flaky so can’t really take off any stars for it. Only complaint is the longer line and semi slow service. I feel like it shouldn’t 5 minutes to just take 2 items out of the case. Overall would recommend this place for delicious pastries.

Tried it out the day after their grand opening. Place is spacious with a small dining area to the side. Staff seemed friendly and helpful. We ordered a couple of danishes, several croissants, and a mini baguette. I tried the chocolate almond croissant and I’m in love. Perfect combination of flavors and loved the texture of the viennoiserie! I also had half of a cherry danish and enjoyed that as well. My mother and sister also enjoyed their croissants. I will definitely be back to try more! Love that we have this French bakery in the south metro!

I’m so excited to have a French boulangerie in Apple Vallley!
I lived in Europe for a decade before moving to the twin cities and I haven’t ever lived near a bakery/patisserie.
Things my wife and I tried so far:
Almond Croissant – probably the best I’ve had in the Twin cities – Crisp with that characteristic brown butter taste on the outside and a soft almond center – wonderful.
Leek Croissant – absolutely amazing – delicate pastry with a tasty cheese & leek puree filling. It’s a light pastry rather than the meal that is the Almond Croissant.
The Blueberry Danish and the Leek Croissant didn’t survive long enough for a photo, but I captured the Apple Tart, Passionfruit Mousse, Mango coconut tart and the Almond Croissant.

Poor service, unwelcoming, but beautiful pastries. Freezing dining area. The almond croissant was good. The spinach croissant and quiche were given to us cold. When we asked then to warm it up they told us that we should have let them know before. When we asked for it we were not asked if we were dining in or taking out. They shouted to us and we grabbed the spinach croissant and quiche that were still cold inside. Tried to eat it, but ended up asking for it to be warmed more, the quiche was mediocre. The worker was annoyed that they had to complete their unfinished task of warming our food and shouted to us again when it was done. Thai tea was good.

Loved the deli style showcase at the front. Easy to order menu. Guys, I’m not big on sweets but I did end up getting a few items to try and they were all delicious.
I went on day 2 of opening weekend so it was very busy. My husband and I had the chance to speak to the owner. He is very nice. Def felt like going to my uncle’s shop.
We purchased a ham and cheese croissant, only regret was not getting a dozen cause it was amazing. Also got the traditional banh mi, that was amazing as well, had that homemade Vietnamese head cheese (also called giò thủ) a long with all the fresh pickled veggies, pate, mayo and soft bread, lightly toasted. Love that stuff. Wish I took pictures of everything but I didn’t have time as I was busy stuffing my face.
I will def be going again. Just thinking of a day my hubby and I can return and see what else new they have.
