We have been on the road for 2 weeks through Arizona, Utah, Colorado, and New Mexico. This place was our favorite restaurant we found along the way. The Bison Strip was beyond good and the Steak Frites were delicious. The service was great – my husband has been craving brewed sweet tea since we left home…it wasn’t on the menu, but they made it for him anyway. Cannot recommend this place enough – 10 stars!

The food was wonderful, the paintings on the wall were bright and cheery, the servers were all wonderful. The beer was cold, the margarita was delicious.
But the reason I gave it four stars, is to pay $16 for a small salad with no meat,
(to add a chicken breast would’ve been seven dollars more )is a little excessive. $12 for a side Caesar that was just OK was also high priced.
I was a little in shock that our bill was $81 for two people at lunch. Yikes!!
Trust me, we have been traveling a lot, we’ve eaten all across the country, and this price was pretty high .

Popped in for a burger with my buddy. Burger was decent enough although seemed a little dry – probably could have used some kind of sauce. Had the grass fed. My buddy had the green chile. Had asked for med rare and it came out well done. Fries are to die for. I could eat those all day long. Nice decor. Friendly and attentive staff.

We took a break from the hot springs and stumbled upon this amazing restaurant! The atmosphere is cozy with beautiful paintings of aspens, the best food and dessert! I had the avocado burger with a Parmesan crisp and my husband had the jalapeño cream cheese burger! The staff was friendly and prompt! Excellent food, service, and ambience! Will definitely be back again!!!

Incredible food and service! I got the pesto pasta and some fries. Everything from the pasta to the ketchup tasted so fresh and homemade. Prices were reasonable and food came out pretty quickly. Decent drink selection too. Would highly recommend!

I ordered the green chile burger. Waitress asked if medium was ok. I told her medium well. It would be pushing it if it was even medium. I only ate it because I was super hungry and didn’t want to send it back. If it had green chile, I wasn’t able to taste it. It was just ok. The fries were really good. Would i order it again? No. Would I eat here again? Probaby not. I know it’s BV, but to me, it’s just another high-priced specialty burger place where nothing on the menu looked really good. Burgers were $20-22$ so if you had a drink, that would be over $30 for lunch plus tip. The waitress was good and attentive. Food was also out fairly quick.

We (7 ppl) went here for quick dinner after the hot spring. But the food went beyond the expectations, so good! We ordered sausage, salad with chicken wings, mussels, pork and they were all very good, the texture and seasoning are amazing. We all felt it should be 5-star experience

In June of 2025 we stop in on a Friday night about 630, suprised we got seated right away (no wait) and got an outside table too. But we found out that the kitchen was slow and it took about 30 minutes or so for our food to arrive. Beer was cold and a decent selection.
My dad and brothers pulled pork sandwich looked amazing (cannot have any of the food that is cooked over the Pecan wood grill). I had to order the fettuccine alfredo which to my suprise came with a lot of fresh vegetables, was tasty with a light alfredo sauce. The reason for the four stars for the food was the portion size was kind of small for a pasta dish and that almost everything is cooked over the Pecan wood.
Really there are better choices of hard wood that could be used….
Please also hire some more kitchen staff to get food out quicker too.

The male host was really awesome! Our server, not at all, didn’t introduce her name. Said that she ‘thinks they’re out of the pear cider ‘, which would’ve been fine but instead of verifying she offered the other two options. I asked if she could check and maybe that’s what did it in.
Other people brought our food.
When I needed my cider swapped I shared with her but she never brought the new one; my group asked another server (waited about 20min.). Another serber brought our check.
Again the gentleman that sat us and said greetings great- overall service not so much.
We like our food, truffle fries were a little salty but I still ate them all! The pork chop was Phenomenal and everyone else had the Reuben sandwich which they loved.
We got two orders of hippie fries
Overall would go again but the server should have a touch point with management, she was the biggest turn off of this place

Can’t say enough great things about this place! Phenomenal food, people, and atmosphere and one of the best places to eat in Buena Vista! Highly recommend and will coming back as the boneshaker burger and house salad are my favorite.
