Island fish and grits is a true treasure with delicious food that is fueled by passion. Johnson was so nice to my family and you can tell she really cares about the food she makes. The catfish was light and delicious, probably one of the best I’ve ever had. My child loved it too. The Curry chicken was fall off the bone good and had a rich deep flavor that takes hours to impart. This is a local business that is worth going out of your way to experience.

I just had the worst experience in my entire life dealing with this place. I was doing doordash. I couldn’t pronounce the customers name right. This apparently set the owner off. At first I thought she was maybe joking and not serious. Because she talked down to me about how I was not able to pronounce names and how I was I doing doordash if I can’t pronounce names correctly. I have no problem reading the most names but sometimes there are names that are hard to pronounce. She started raising her voice and I asked her I said ma’am I have never been spoken to like this in my life in anything nevertheless doing doordash. I was trying to be as professional and nice as I could. I was trying to explain to her that just because I couldn’t pronounce the name didn’t mean that I was stupid or something. She then proceeded to say well she didn’t care if I took the order or not she didn’t care about doordash. She started going on about her children were grown everything in her life is fine and that it’s my problem. So I had to go to Google cuz I just knew that I was going to find other reviews about this. And exactly what I thought going through the reviews there are exactly almost similar situations with other people having the same problem. The food may be good but this woman has no business in customer service for people skills.

Omg! This is where it’s at! I went here with my husband and we really enjoyed ourselves she has the best oxtails in Pensacola Florida… and I love her customer service she was so polite and helpful… we’ll be revisiting soon

Excellent customer service from the time you walk in the door to the time you leave. Came here on my lunch break and definitely will be returning. The curry chicken with red beans and rice was delicious and more than enough for two meals!! I will be going back for more and recommending it to family and friends as well.

I ordered the 3 piece catfish. I got the biggest basket of catfish I’ve ever seen. It’s cooked fresh to order and staff are very friendly and helpful.
