So I went to this place the other day and the shrimp and grits were amazing
today I ordered food with my office over $100 worth of food and I got crab cakes & seafood rice totaling $30… I received the small seafood rice but not one shrimp in it for 10 damn dollars I could at least got two shrimp but none is diabolical. The size of this container for $10 is diabolical. Will never do this again! Definitely not a happy customer.

This is really hidden gem in town! it almost never write reviews, but really wanted to highlight how amazing this place . I was looking for a brunch spot on a random Sunday, and not only did this place have incredible food at reasonable prices, the service in the atmosphere was top-tier. The staff was friendly, flexible, and we left stuffed and already planning our next visit.
Our server Kyrie was fantastic. She gave great recommendations and knew the menu well. She was attentive to our group without being bothersome, and really took the afternoon from good to great.
Be sure to stop by and support a local small business. You will not regret it!

I looked this restaurant up on Google. I’m always looking for places to eat when I’m traveling. Being with a private airline I’m always looking for good food for my clients.
The shrimp and grits did not disappoint. I ordered the larger piece of catfish. I don’t think I would get the shrimp and grits with bacon.
I ordered the She crab soup to go.
Stay tuned for an update.
The waitress was excellent. She was very honest. I felt that she needed help with the guests (mgmt issue, no fault of her own)
However, she handled everything with grace and professionalism.
I would definitely come back and recommend.

Visited for lunch with 7 other colleagues. This was on a payday Friday so we expected possibly long wait time for seating & food. To our surprise, we were immediately seated. Our waitress handled our table with ease. The food was just as good as the service! 5 of us ordered the Midtown & 3rd famous Shrimp & Grits & it did not disappoint! Another got fried wings. They were golden brown pretty! Was told they were delicious! Another got the snow crab seafood boil. Another satisfying meal! Everything was good & everyone satisfied!

They were paid to host and cater my class during homecoming last weekend. The event should have started at 11 AM, but due to inclement weather, it was pushed back by an hour. My friends and I arrived at the restaurant around ~12:00 PM after receiving the update about the delay in service. Food was not ready to be served until ~1:50 PM. The event was set to end at 2:00 PM. I let our event planners know that I had a 3:00 flight and that I needed to be leaving for soon. I also let a staff member know I had to go soon and would need a to-go plate if I was going to be able to enjoy any food. Both me and our event planner, were met with exasperated responses from staff and stalling. The staff member I spoke with said that we were never supposed to receive food until 2:00 PM, which made no sense to me since that was the end of the time we reserved with them. Their restaurant was still open to the public so I observed waiters taking the orders of regular patrons and getting out their food in a timely manner (a plus side for the other patrons, I guess). Our planners paid for a set menu to be distributed buffet style and I personally do not believe at all that the food was prepared/near ready prior to us arriving. By the time the buffet was ready, I had to box my food and leave. Based on the report of the friends I left behind, the manager on duty had not come out to address the extremely long wait. I did not find the brunch enticing enough to ever go back and was upset because I could have spent the last day of my visit with my friends indoors at other restaurants we had actually been eyeing. I came to this establishment specifically because I had prepaid for entry in my homecoming package. Just be wary if you are booking them for catering.

Coming from out of town and Midtown & 3rd was recommended by our hotel concierge. It offers a comfortable dining environment. The music vibe was on point . The indoor area downstairs features ambient lighting with casual seating. Our meals were delicious and flavorful . I had the well known shrimp & grits w/a catfish nugget . Whereas my husband had the fried catfish (2 generous portions) with the seafood rice and fried okra. He says they were good. Our server, Melanie was friendly and helpful considering it was our first visit. But, it definitely won’t be our last because we are intentional about supporting black businesses in the areas we travel to ✊ .

Claudia made our entire experience at Midtown & 3rd exceptional.
From the moment we sat down, she was attentive, professional, and genuinely warm. She knew the menu inside and out, gave thoughtful recommendations, and checked on us at the right times without hovering. You can tell she takes pride in what she does.
Our food came out hot and exactly as ordered, and Claudia kept everything moving smoothly even when it got busy. Her energy elevated the table. That kind of service makes people come back.
If you’re dining here, ask for Claudia. She sets the standard.

Tried this place out tonight for a quick birthday dinner. It was amazing. Alexis was very pleasant and the hostess at the front. Black excellence at its finest. Food was 10 out of 10. Salmon bites didn’t last at all once she put them down. think they just became my fav new place.

The food was great. And from what I gathered of the rest of my party, they enjoyed their meal as well.
One downside, party of 25, I seemed to have some miscommunication on how ordering was happening based on prior separation of servers.
Another downside, a to-go order was charged the gratuity of my party.
Overall, the experience was good, but I can also see where additional servers/bartenders would have made for a smoother experience.

This was my first time eating here, and I loved it! The music was great, the customer service was wonderful, and the owner even gave us a tour of the establishment.
Our waitress was Alexis, and she was awesome! She was very attentive and friendly, and she knew that menu like she made it herself.
Tonight was $1 steamed crab night, so we took advantage of that. The crabs were nice sized and meaty. The crab meat was sweet, and the garlic butter sauce was to die for. My friend had a side tray of eggs, corn, sausage, and potatoes. It looked so delicious!
Prior to leaving, Alexis informed is of the fun brunch they have on Sundays. She told us about the food items that will be on the menu and the drink specials.
From this experience, I will definitely return to have great food and wonderful service.
