Everything we have ordered here tastes great and looks like it could be on a commercial. Friendly and knowledgeable staff – fast and convenient service. They have it all.
I have never experienced such an infuriating level of incompetence and complete disregard for customers. We placed an order through the Jimmy John’s app from the Harrisburg location, and within minutes, we received a notification that the store had called an Uber for delivery. This already felt strange, but the app stated our food would arrive in ten minutes.
Thirty minutes passed – nothing. I called the store, and no one answered. Eventually, I realized our food had never been picked up, and to make matters worse, the store closed without a single attempt to contact us. Not only did we never receive our sandwiches, but because they had called the Uber and not us, we had no way to cancel it. As a result, five different Uber drivers showed up at our house, angry and frustrated, thinking I had wasted their time and money. I spent my entire evening dealing with confused and upset drivers until 11:30 PM, all because Jimmy John’s failed to do the most basic thing: communicate.
When I called the next day, the assistant manager was beyond dismissive, saying, “What do you want me to do about it?” I asked to speak to the manager, hoping for better service, but received the same indifference. Their excuse? “It wasn’t our fault Uber didn’t get it.” Except it was – because they placed the Uber request and then abandoned our order without notifying us.
Their only offer? A refund. No acknowledgment of the inconvenience, no sincere apology, and no attempt to make things right. The easiest solution – offering a free meal to compensate for our wasted time and frustration – would have cost them next to nothing, yet they couldn’t even do that.
We have been loyal customers to this location, but after experiencing this blatant lack of responsibility, we will never support this Jimmy John’s again. This was, without question, the poorest customer service experience I have ever had. If you value reliability, accountability, and basic customer service, take your business elsewhere.
