However, after asking a question about sub sizes for clarity, another team member walked toward the back, rolled her eyes, and mocking what I had asked to a coworker instead of explaining the options. This behavior felt dismissive and unprofessional. When I mentioned that I don’t eat ham, and asked about possible substitutions for the same other meats on the sub, that same employee refused to offer alternatives and continued interrupting the server who was assisting me.
The server taking my order appeared genuinely surprised by her coworker’s behavior. The damage from the back proceeded to interject and state that management does not allow substitutions for any type of sub. Even after I offered to pay extra, the employee continued cutting in to shut the conversation down rather than allowing the server to finish assisting me. I asked why it was not listed anywhere on the signs or in the store banners, and she said she wasn’t sure.
Because of the poor attitude and lack of customer service, I chose to leave and take my business elsewhere. While one team member was courteous, the overall experience was frustrating and left a negative impression. If I ever chose to come back I will proceed to call or order online because this was a terrible way to handle someone.
