The best authentic Filipino food I’ve ever tried. I’m so glad I found this place, it’s now my go-to restaurant once a month since I live in DC. The pancit is perfectly soft, fresh, and flavorful. The lechón is well cooked and pairs nicely with the tapa. I love their lumpia: the shells are crispy with the perfect texture and filling. The halo-halo is well balanced in sweetness, with a good amount of toppings such as red and white beans and jelly. This restaurant reminds me of my fiancée’s family’s home-cooked food.

Tapsilog was SOOOOO DELICIOUS!!! We also got turoni (sweet crispy plantain) and carioca (sweet dough balls). I’m so pleased we wandered in here for a breakfast/lunch on a nice Saturday morning. A perfect savory breakfast. Definitely will come back!!

So good! The Kamayan platter is perfect for 2 people. Everything we wanted to eat in a great portion size. Lechon was crispy and pancit had perfect chew and flavor. Excited to come back and try their halo halo and chicken adobo!

Came in for dessert after a boodle fight dinner at another place; we had the halo halo, ube mochi, and mais con yelo. The ube mochi was wonderful, the halo halo could have been sweeter and more flavorful, and the mais con yelo perhaps is more of an acquired taste. The staff was so friendly and it really felt like home for those who miss the Philippines and have Filipino family.

First time coming here and loved this family establishment! We were recommended this place from a friend and got the kamayan combo plate and then the lechon kawali with rice. For me the stars are the lumpia (of course) and the lechon. Lechon fat just melts in your mouth, no chewing needed. The top is so crispy too. I love that the kamayan lets you try multiple things on a banana leaf.

We also got some carioca for dessert which were delicious. Crispy outside, chewy on the inside. 10/10

They were also playing Queen of Tears in the background which is a +1 for atmosphere! Very clean and quiet area

We visited here for the first time recently. Pricey for Filipino food as these type of places tend to be. I loved the pancit it had the right amount of acidity I like. The tocino was a little tough and not as sweet as I’m used to. Lechon skin was crispy, the pork lumpia and giant turon that I got were delicious and tasted as it should. I’d definitely go back to try their other dishes.

We dined there twice already, the first time time , we ordered porksilog, pancit canton+bihon, and chicken adobo. The pork in the porksilog was fried and all meat, I like mine with a little bit of fat, the chicken adobo was the saucy style which was really good and their pancit (with 2 kinds of noodles in one ) is beginning to be my favorite and the sine serving is good for 2.

The 2nd time (with some photos) we had fried chicken , pork adobo , pancit, fresh lumpia and halo halo. The fried chicken tasted good. It’s simpe and mildly seasoned. The pork adobo was similary cooked as their chicken adobo. It was tender and saucy. I’ve confirmed now that their pancit may be my favorite so far in the area! The fresh lumpia is also good, loved the sauce and the veggies inside had a crunch to them which is good!

The halo-halo is the authentic Filipino style halo-halo, it’s light and not heavy nor creamy , they use regular ice instead of flavored ice which makes it very Filipino and traditional , it was a refreshing treat for this very hot weather!

Came in and they were playing the Korean drama Queen of Tears on the TV – green flag.

We were warmly greeted by the cashier, and he offered us some helpful suggestions for what to order. We got the kamayan platter and the lechon kawali plate, and they gave us a free dessert on the house! Everything was delicious, and the atmosphere is very laid back and welcoming. Will likely be back soon!

Such awesome service! Our girls really wanted to try Halo Halo so we brought them here. The treat was a little too big for our girls but they loved it and my wife and I plan to return soon to try the rest of the menu!

Thanks!
