Food is great! The burrito benzeda(to be honest I forgot its name) is great with its sauces you mix up all with the meat, rice, and beans. The cheese dip is great! It probably is my favorite cheese ever. Service is quick. ¡El ambiente es muy español!

If you have a real gluten allergy don’t come here I have to say. They don’t really understand the importance of cross-contamination. I got cross-contamination in my food. Ugh.
I tried to explain to the waiter but …
I got the cheese Enchiladas that had very little red sauce and the cheese was thick inside not melted with whole cheese on top. The rice and beans average. I asked for corn tortillas because the chips were cross-contamination in one frier there. He acted like he wouldn’t do it but I insisted. The corn tortillas were put on the big main grill and tasted alittle burnt but steaming hot.
Overall I was not impressed with the food. The staff were OK.
Would I recommend? Not really. .
Would I return? Probably not.

I went in last night for the first time, the food was good but the service was not. They didnt check on us to see if we needed anything, never asked if we needed refills or boxes to go. As soon as we get up to leave he comes right over to clean the table. I would go back for the food but the service just isn’t there.

Prompt attention from the person seating us to the wait staff. Quick service, even though they seemed busy. Food was hot, fresh, and plentiful. I’ll definitely return again.

Decided to drive into the mountains from Knoxville way, got a little lost leaving, ended up in Greeneville at Monterrey. This place is amazing. Better than any place in Knoxville without a doubt. Everything was delicious, and it’s cheap compared to the place I typically go back home. Got so much food for only like $12. Only complaint was the waitress only came around to drop off my food, so my drink was empty the whole time I was here. Other than that, 10/10 restaurant. Upset it’s so far from home or I’d eat here frequently.

Salsa slightly spicy but good. Chips were fresh. Does not allow you to order a variety of single tacos to try. I wanted carnitas and carne asada. I was told I could only order one meat and have 3 of that meat. There were no suggestions offered to accommodate ordering what I wanted. I reviewed the menu and saw I could order a kid’s taco with rice and beans so I decided to order two with each type of meat I wanted. The waiter looked at me and smiled and tried to tell me I couldn’t order it. I was surprised. As someone who has worked in customer service I was astounded that they were not willing to try. The waiter then said he would ask the kitchen after I told him I wanted a second kids taco. The fact this was such a hassle to get two tacos and during the lunchtime hour is just surprising. I ended up getting my kids taco with carne asada and a separate carnitas taco. The Refried beans were ok, kind of bland. The rice was good, it had some chicken mixed in. I probably wouldn’t go back to this place due to lack of effort or service from the waiter.
