Don’t let the stern manner of the matron put you off – she cares! The proof is in the food, and the fact that she won’t let you mess up her mother’s recipes with silly substitutions. If you appreciate authentic food, you would be lucky to stumble upon this totally random, authentic Vietnamese restaurant, in a random plaza in Atomic City USA.
If you already know Vietnamese food, you’ll be amazed that this place is here. If you’re new to Vietnamese, go in with an open mind. It’s similar to Thai and Chinese.
Excellent.

Sign says open. Hours of business says close at 9. I, new resident of oak ridge, walked in at 7:58pm, the lady, on the phone, no hello, says we are closed! When I asked why is the open sign on and why are you closed when the hos says 9 pm? I didn’t get a answer. She stayed on the phone and ignored me. Well first time there and I wonder if I’ll go try their noodles, which I love noodles….. ???? NOP.

Deplorable excuse for pho. Mushy noodles, broth from a packet, no veggies or herbs served. The few pieces of pork in it were severely overcooked and tough. Tastes like chicken noodle soup day when I was in middle school. Waitstaff extremely rude and short despite us trying to be really friendly. Lame restaurant.

A wonderful woman trying to make a go of a hometown business. She can come off as curt to an American standard but she is diligent at providing excellent food at a real value. I haven’t had a bad meal here; my favorite is the pork dish with rice, crab cake, and fried egg.

Food was just ok. A definite hole in the wall which would be fine if the food was delicious. It was authentic but still not that great
