Skippers is Northport’s best restaurant that has been serving the Long Island community for over forty years and owned by three-generational family members. We serve the best food and provide a wonderful atmosphere upholding the heritage and history of shipbuilders and whalers. Hands down one of the best restaurants on Long Island! From the incredible Tuna Nachos to the flavorful Korean Spicy Wings, everything we ordered was top-notch. The recently added Butterflied Branzino with sautéed greens and herb salsa was an absolute delight — fresh, vibrant, and perfectly cooked. Everyone we encountered, from the hostess, manager and server, were so warm and welcoming. Skippers in Northport is a true gem — we can’t wait to come back!

First time trying this place and it didn’t disappoint! Made last minute decision to go out for dinner and called to see if we needed reservations but the phone attendant said it was okay to walk in so no reservations necessary right now.
Very refreshing to see the staff member was polite about it.

Absolutely delicious!! Went for lunch today with my husband and the food, atmosphere and service was amazing! Our server was so attentive and nice. We sat outside and we had our dog with us and she gave him a water bowl! So thoughtful! They had a huge lunch menu and also a brunch menu available. We ordered the lobster bisque, oysters, poached pair salad and the swordfish! 10/10!

Stopped by Skippers on a beautiful day, and it was the perfect choice! The weather was amazing, so we grabbed a table outside , such a great spot right by the water with a relaxing view.
The service was super friendly and made the experience even better. I ordered the fried calamari, which came out crispy and fresh. The oysters were hands-down the highlight so fresh and flavorful. I also tried the wings, and they hit the spot.
To top it all off, even the cappuccino was amazing rich and perfectly made.

Tried and true brunch, lunch, dinner spot. Family friendly yet appealing to adults too. Menu has some flair while still staying true to classics. More upscale than a diner but not too fancy, warm and comfortable setting.

I was disappointed to find out first hand that the food and drink does not come close to the quality or flavor you’d expect for these prices.
The service was great and atmosphere is nautical but kinda old feeling.
With all that in mind, I wouldn’t take my chances here again.

The food was absolutely delicious with generous portions. And the dessert? Simply magical! I’ve never tasted anything like it back in Belgium – what a lovely surprise.
