A beautiful little gem in the middle of nowhere in the South Jersey, Pine Barrens! Even though it’s secluded, it is very popular and always busy. It was a beautiful day. We had outdoor table seating with a beautiful breeze and a view of the lake and beachgoers. It took a while for our food to come, but that didn’t matter because we were enjoying the being outdoors I rs and lakeview.

My husband and I stopped here after a ride on the bike. We loved the outdoor seating area and the view. The menu offers typical lunch items like sandwiches and hotdogs. Our food was good, but I feel like my tater tots were a little overcooked for taste. We will be sure to stop here again after a ride to try more items from the menu and their dessert specials
Update 8/25
Came back with my children are and my puppy. Had amazing elotes dip with tortilla chips and their homemade special dessert; peach upside down cake, which was so delicious. The staff and servers were so nice as were the patrons. It seems like everyone is a friendly neighbor. My I paid $8 per child so they could swim in the lake and enjoy the beach. Dogs are allowed at the restaurant and tables, but not on the beach, so my pup and I enjoyed the good food and beautiful day sitting at a nice shady table while the kids enjoyed the swimming. Definitely coming back in the fall for more seasonal specials.

Small little stop to eat with big views! This place is awesome! Wasn’t sure what to expect when we headed here, but this is a quiet spot with lots of outdoor seating. Food came out quick. Service was friendly. Prices were good. Food tasted good!
BLT and breakfast sandwich had good flavor and tater tots were crispy. Would definitely recommend. We will stop here again when we are back in the area!

The one star is for the atmosphere and nice view. We waited there for an hour for 3 small plates: chips with small side of corn(looked bigger and better on pictures), crab cake sandwich and 2 tiny empanadas for $6 each. My son’s chips and corn came in first after 40 min and then we still had to wait another 20 min for the rest when he was done. Earlier my husband went in to ask about our order. He said to the waitress we’re waiting already 40 min and she pulled up our order and went out of her way to say “actually it’s 38 min” instead of just focusing on apologizing for the wait and not letting us know before ordering we will have to wait this long for bar food that wasn’t even worth it. I asked can we get a discount on the order or the tip back. They offered a refund and no food (at least thats how I understood it) but we were already waiting for a hour so… I said anything would be nice for the wait. They offered a cake… they weren’t super apologetic either. I heard later they started finally warning people there is an hour wait before people ordered… not worth it.

Today was our first time trying this gem and let me say that the food was a 10/10! My husband got the chicken bacon ranch sandwich and I got the shrimp bahn mi (pictured). He wouldn’t stop talking about how good their ranch was. The shrimp and veggies on my sandwich were delicious. We also got the empanada which was filled to the brim with cheese and delicious seafood! I will definitely be back to try more things on the menu.

After hearing multiple friends rave, I took the drive out to specifically have the blueberry ice cream. We enjoyed the crab cake and fried fish sandwich. So grilled to bring our dog!
We will be back for sure!

What’s a reasonable amount of time to wait for a salad & tacos? I didn’t expect it would be quick like fast food, but I certainly didn’t expect 45 minutes with nothing either. According to the receipt we ordered at 1:18pm, but there we sat at 2pm with no food & two tables who came in after us already served. I went inside & asked a younger guy how much longer. His response? “they’re working on it” (said with a shrug). A few minutes later after ANOTHER table got served I went back inside and got my money back. I mistakenly said I’d already waited an hour (it felt like it) and two people in the kitchen quickly corrected me that it was ONLY 45 minutes I’d been waiting. Really? Aside from taking my money when I ordered, the only other quick thing they did that day was correct me. The girl at the register refunded my money and even offered the food free on top of it, but at that point it was too late… I just wanted to get out of there.
Batsto Village down the road had an event going on so it’s likely they were busier than usual, but there was no line out the door and at no point did any staff member set expectations towards extended wait time when ordering. It comes down to this…. If you can’t serve your customers within a reasonable amount of time, communicate it up front. If you know there’s an event locally, plan for it accordingly.
Just don’t make excuses for poor customer service.
