My wife and I have been here several times. Mainly during the ATX TV Festival that normally cooperates with the hotel and bar.
The staff is fast and professional – could be a bit more courteous…but overall Tunis alright.
The bar has a good vibe and it is nice that you can sit on the balcony.
But while sitting on the balcony you observe things around you. And you notice the flags along the balcony. Some faded and broke. Why not fix those so it looks nice – and if not then out of respect for the meaning of the flag.
But overall we had a good experience here.

Excellent service excellent drinks, and the coup de gras is the ability to smoke cigars on the terrace second floor overlooking Congress and 7th. I’m so shocked and upset with myself for not finding the gem sooner! I’ve even stayed in the hotel and never knew it was there. Literally a cigar and cocktail perfect gem of a spot the service was OUTSTANDING and personal. They put the details and personal touch in their service and cocktails!!!!

Great ambiance and views from the terrace. Bartender knows how to concoct a proper cocktail and is quite personable. Highly recommend the Desert Rose and the Austin Mule; both had an interesting twist.

Drinks were strong and we could take them into the theatre! Gorgeous venue and you can easily see the stage from any seat. Stairs are steep and chairs are small but we didn’t mind! This theatre is a historic must-see while in Austin!

I loved this location. Its not too busy, drinks were good and the bartenders were very nice. I recommend you sit on the patio, which is located just above the street level where you will have a nice view of Congress Ave and the Capital just down the road. If you decide to sit inside, you will get a nice, quiet atmosphere perfect for those looking to relax with friends and have a few drinks.
