The standout dish for us was the Tusean salmon, which was absolutely delicious and hands down the best thing we ordered. Unfortunately, we did not enjoy the marinara sauce. I ordered the ravioli (only three large pieces for $14) and didn’t like it at all because of the sauce, and my daughter’s spaghetti with marinara had the same issue for us. That said, the garlic butter bread was really good, and the service truly made the experience. Our waitress noticed we weren’t eating, listened to our feedback, spoke with the manager, and they kindly removed the dish from our bill and even offered something on the house to-go, which we really appreciated. While the marinara sauce just wasn’t for us personally, the overall experience and customer service were excellent.

Roma Italian in Broken Bow was a decent spot for a casual dinner, but it didn’t quite live up to the hype. The restaurant itself has a warm, inviting atmosphere with cozy lighting and a family-friendly vibe. The staff were genuinely kind and attentive, which definitely added to the experience.

The food, though, was hit or miss. The breadsticks came out warm and soft, but could’ve used a little more flavor. I tried one of their pasta dishes — it was fine, just not very memorable. The sauce was a bit thin, and while the portion was generous, it lacked that rich, homemade taste you hope for in Italian food. On the bright side, the salad was fresh and crisp, and the presentation overall was nice.

It’s the kind of place that’s good if you’re already in the area and want a comfortable, laid-back meal. Nothing particularly bad, just not anything that stands out as exceptional. With a few small tweaks to the recipes, it could easily go from “okay” to “great.”

Great first experience here! We came on a Friday night during spring break, and it was not busy at all! Go see them! The food was delicious, and the service was excellent. If you order the Chicken Picatta, ask them for breaded chicken, it’s so good! I ordered the Brinkley Special, and it did not disappoint! Caesar salads were also very good, and fresh.

Great food and great service. I enjoyed the pizzaoula (I know I didn’t spell that correctly), and it was enough for two, especially after the delicious garlic rolls and salad. The wait staff was outstanding. We will definitely go again next time we are in town.

The food was great. The server was great. We can on Valentine’s Day and the hostess seemed like she didn’t want to be there. She basically threw our utensils on the table and had a bit of an attitude. We got there 2 hours before they closed and it was just me and my adult children so not really sure why the hostility was there. Otherwise it was a great little place and I would go back when we visit broken bow again.

First time trying this place. Medium pricing… a little higher than our normal mom/pop Italian in DFW, but not terrible.
Food was very good, I had the Stromboli and my son had chicken Marsala. We were both very satisfied with size of portions as I brought about 1/2 of mine home.
The inside of the restaurant is very nice and much larger than I expected. Plenty of seating and a big bar area also. It’s next door to the new “Girls gone wine” location so I am sure they will deliver next door.
The only negative was with the check at the end. The waitress just writes down the items on the receipt pad, no pricing and then the lady upfront rings it up when you leave. The total was a little higher than I anticipated but without the itemized list of items/prices it was hard to challenge.
They also didn’t ask if want to add any tip to the bill so that was inconvenient.
Overall good food and I would go back again, nice location and interior.

What a great restaurant! Came in Sunday evening at around 7:30pm and was immediately seated. The bread was fantastic, as was the rest of our meal. The atmosphere was really great – clean, bright, and welcoming. The folks working there were all very kind and we had the chance to talk with the owner. She said they have been there for about a year and was such a nice lady. The food was good and priced very reasonably. I had the pasta combo and liked everything with the lasagna being my favorite and the spinach ravioli my least favorite. But it was still good. My wife had the lobster ravioli and said it was excellent.

The downtown area is really nice too. Small but you can tell the city is trying to make it a great spot to come to during your visit to Broken Bow. Come give Roman Italian a try. I think you’ll like it as we did.

We went on a Sunday night during the Christmas break. Every restaurant had a 2 hour wait for 2 people in Hochatown, so we ventured to Roma who only had a 15 minute wait. Whoever did the work schedule was NOT prepared for the onslaught of people that night and service only had 2 servers and the hostess had to become a server just to get the food out. So it’s a 1 star on service but NOT a refection on the waitstaff but more on the management who did not have enough people working. Now for the food. The manicotti was exceptional! The lasagne was okay and so was the spinach pasta. My husband had the spaghetti works and he was really thought it was delicious. The bread was also very tasty.

Roma Italian Restaurant was beyond amazing! From the moment our group of 17 adults from Texas walked through the door, we were greeted with warmth and genuine hospitality that immediately made us feel at home.

Our server, Cali, was nothing short of phenomenal! From the second we were seated, she was attentive, professional, and incredibly friendly — the kind of service that truly elevates the dining experience. She anticipated our needs before we could even ask and made sure every guest at our large table felt taken care of.

The food? Absolutely delicious! Loaded with flavor and served piping hot within minutes — it felt like magic how quickly everything came out. Every bite was full of authentic Italian goodness that left us all raving.

We laughed, we ate, and we created memories that will last long after the night ended. The manager even stopped by our table to personally check in, ensuring everything exceeded our expectations — and it absolutely did!

Our group has dined at some of the finest restaurants in Texas, but none compare to the exceptional service, quality, and heart we experienced at Roma Italian.

Thank you again for accommodating our large party and making us feel so welcome. We can’t thank y’all enough for such an unforgettable evening — Roma Italian, you’ve set the bar high! ❤️

First time trying Roma in downtown Broken Bow. Great location, beautiful building. Large spacious dining area. Near multiple businesses and perfect for a lunch get-together and then shopping trip downtown. The food was plated beautifully, the portions were enough for 3 people, and everything tasted well. My husband’s steak was cooked to perfection, tender. My son had a massive, cheesy canzone. My chicken fettuccine Alfredo was saucy and enormous. Will definitely return in the future. Thankful for new dining selections locally.
