Not a bad choice, especially with limited options in Shelby. My complaint seems to be consistent for the few times I’ve visited. The food tends to be over cooked, over fried or dry.
The clam chowder I had was really good though. But the steak was tough, the potato burnt, I had to ask for butter and sour cream and the bread was hard…
I’ve tried the burger and it was dry too, over cooked.

Steaks are expensive, but food was enjoyable. Atmosphere was an older casino crowd, but still family friendly.
Edit: been here several times now and it is just so hit or miss. This last time we got nachos and they were in no way nachos. The chips were from a bag, baked, and ended up burning them. Super dry and burned tasting. My husband’s chicken fried steak was burnt as well and the service was terrible! Not once did she ask how our meal was, took forever for refills, and was so quick on between drop offs that we couldn’t even complain. Won’t be back for a long time, but unfortunately in Shelby there are not many options.

Believe the others, do not order the ribs!!! Very bad! Steak was tender but absolutely no flavor at all. Cream of chicken soup was excellent. Atmosphere was OK. Very expensive.

Steaks were great this time! Tender and flavourful. Baked beans and mashed potatoes were excellent. Expensive but good!

I am a red seal cook and run trucks heavy haul on the hwy. It isn’t often I eat a meal at a place and don’t find a problem or a short coming. I enjoyed my time and meal and was wowed by the staff presentation and the food. Well done .

I would rate my meal -5 out of 10. The server was 20 out of 10. I ordered half rack of ribs. It was not a award winning ribs. The BBQ sauce was side dish of colored vinegar. My fork bent trying to peal off the meat off the bone. Other than that place was clean service was fast friendly. I just wont recommend ordering ribs. ..

Very slow service. 30 minutes to order. Food was served lukewarm at best. How hard is it to serve a baked potato that is warm enough to melt butter? Plus it was brown from over baking. My husband gave the ribs a 4 on a 1 to 10 scale. I have never written a review before, but my hamburger and potato were so bad that I didn’t eat much of it, and asked them to take it off the bill, which was done without question.

Had a Santa Fe salad one day that said it would be on a bed of greens. It was on iceberg lettuce which I’m not a fan of. That salad was 14 dollars. was not satisfied about that. Next night I had a prime rib. I’m not sure what cut of meat it was, it was very dry and no marbling. I expect it was a rump roast. Very dis satisfied in this. Service is pretty slow too.

Told the server, she offered nothing and then said she would 10 percent off bill. Then when we said that wasn’t she took 4 off. Really!
I have to go out to eat now.
Like I can’t eat and you don’t even offer another menu item.
We go to Shelby once a month and go here two or three times when we stay. Won’t be back here ever. Too bad because we typically don’t complain and will not be back ever.
Sad that a restaurant doesn’t care about satisfying the customer.

Very friendly, great selection and our meals were great. 1/2lb cheese burger and a Cobb salad were great. Wanted the special, Prime Rib but wasn’t hungry enough but it looked real tempting!
