Hello. I tried the Arlington House of Pizza for the first time and was disappointed. The older gentleman who took my order was very nice, but it all went downhill from there. I ordered a plain pizza with extra cheese. The crust was paper thin and one of the slices did not have any cheese! (How is that possible?) If that wasn’t bad enough, the soda I purchased was lukewarm. Either the refrigerator wasn’t working properly or the cans were put into the display case while warm. Wait–there’s more! It was not warm outside, but for some reason all kinds of fans were turned on throughout the parlor. The ceiling fans were on high, as were the floor units. It was so breezy that my napkins kept blowing onto the floor. Very annoying. Doubt I will go back again.

I went here on a whim because no where else was open. I didn’t have very high expectations but wanted something good and greasy from a local Italian joint. I ordered the eggplant parm which came in a plastic microwave-meal like dish with plastic utensils. The food came out relatively quickly and there was a nice layer of melted cheese on top. it also comes with a side of bread that is just plain and not really toasted. The price of the eggplant parm read $12.95 on the board but I was charged $17.11. I asked about this and he said because it was “a Parmesan” I didn’t understand what he meant and just payed the regular price begrudgingly. Again, the food was mediocre and $17 for it was not only upsetting but absurd. The restaurant does have its redeeming qualities however; very familial and seems well kept.
