We waited 30 minutes to get drinks and I asked for an iced coffee and got a cold brew. 1 hour later or even more we received our food. Overall customer service is awful and the wait time is ridiculous for an empty diner. If you order a crepe be ready to wait 30 minutes! And have is drowned in chocolate syrup and powdered sugar

I really hate having to give these types of reviews because I really want to see locally owned restaurants succeed.

That being said, be prepared for a restaurant that’s nicely decorated, good atmosphere with TERRIBLE SERVICE. The staff is very nice, but from the time we sat down to the time we received our food was OVER ONE HOUR. There was a group of about 10 and a table of 4 ahead of us – that’s it. We both ordered the double cheeseburger, we were not asked how we would like it cooked so we didn’t ask, figuring it was similar to many restaurants in the area that cooks their hamburgers well done as a standard. In the photos you will see that my burger, with visibly thinner patties were cooked well done while my husband’s was cooked medium rare. For the price point, the food was not exceptional and was certainly not worth the wait, honestly, I could have made lunch at home in less time. The staff never refilled our drinks. We were offered free dessert, but we declined. If you come here to fellowship after church before you eat, you’re in the right place as you’ll have plenty of time; if you’re famished, you should go somewhere else because you’ll probably starve to death before your food is served to you. When we were ready for the to go box and our ticket, we pushed the call button SEVERAL times but we waited over 15 minutes before going and asking for a box and our ticket. It would take A LOT for me to come back here.

Totally impressed with this place! We have lived down the road from this restaurant and had no idea it existed. So glad we found it. We will be going back often. We ordered the brisket and the Philly cheesesteak both were amazing piping, hot and flavorful. Even their chicken strip and fries for the kids Were amazing and way above expectations:) My son got the catfish and said it was the best he’d ever had from any restaurant ever:) We went for my husband‘s birthday and they brought him the most amazing tasting cheesecake we have ever had anywhere. Staff were extremely friendly and the atmosphere beautiful! A true hidden gem in Rockaway Beach !!!

This was our second visit and both times we were served amazing food. Accidentally deleted my first review so will include pics from both visits. Brisket was best I’ve ever had. Chicken fajitas were good. Grilled butter/herb butterfly shrimp had amazing flavor and lots of them! Double cheeseburger was huge and husband liked it. Will be back soon and will keep trying different things on the menu. By the way, the corn side dish is corn on the cob although menu doesn’t reflect that. Just sayin’ in case you don’t like to eat that in public:) Menu could use more descriptions. Liked that pics of some menu items are on the menu.

Moved to Rockaway few months ago from Oklahoma.
Great place to eat.
Husbands steak was perfect and tender.
His apple pie was perfect.
My burger was huge. Had to cut in half to take home. The peach cobbler was really tasty.
Grabbed few more desserts to take home.
Very clean, charming restaurant.
Will try breakfast next. Nice to have nice place to eat 2 blocks away from home.
Can’t wait for my family and friends to visit me. I will have nice place to dine my guest

The last 2 times ive been to have my Lunch… the waitresses don’t know what they are doing. I loke a good cup of café Americano… they brought me the cup amd I t was weak… i sent it back… 20 minutes went by and I hadn’t been brought anew cup
I asked and they refused. The waitress said I had return it and o told her I had asked for another cup but made correctly. I never got it. When I asked after 30 minutes total waiting she refused to serve me what I want. She didn’t offer or ask if i wanted some thing else. The food finally arrived and it was cold amd tasted spoiled. About 3 months later I tried the restaurant again
I order the Caesar salad with Salmon. The salad was wilted and not fresh. No crunch to the lettuce. Not cold at all. The Salmon was tbe smallest piece if salmon ive ever seen or served
Its very disappointing to see this restaurant going down hill. For the last year it was my favorite and Arthur was pleasant and was what made coming to eat there a pleasant experience. ARTHUR WAS POLITE and made a perfect Cafe Americano. Since he left… the waitresses have no experince as serving tbe public
This restaurant has gone from a 10 to a 2 and its very disappointing.

Bill Kichen, the former chef-owner of Branson Center Stage is the culinary artist behind this establishment. He made his bona fides in the day by being Ann Margaret’s personal chef.

The dining room is bright and pleasant. The wait staff is well trained, informed and attentive.

My lady and I had the Prime Rib that is a regular Saturday special. It was tender, juicy and perfectly seasoned.

The Cedar restaurant is a little off the beaten path in Rockaway Beach, but well worth the drive, (great Ozark scenery).
Highly recommended.

I’m going to say, this is the best kept secret in Taney County! It needs to be exposed and supported! I had the Lamb Kabobs! To die for! I did not eat the desserts, but next time, I’m cheating! Tuesday’s is free pie day, and it was apple! Good food, Eric was our fantastic waiter, because I can’t pronounce his whole name, they will put Rockaway Beach back on the restaurant map!!

We really enjoyed our dining experience from the excellent food to our server Arthur! My husband and I shared the Lamb shish kabobs and double cheese burger. The marinated veggies were out of this world as were the bean beans (I’m a veggie gal). Burger and Lamb were both cooked perfectly. We look forward to our next experience soon!
