Great place to enjoy a nice lunch. Food is great! Plenty of seating. Grilled chicken was so good! Aqua fresco too notch!

The service is exceptional, and the food was absolutely delicious! If you enjoy authentically spicy red pozole, this is the place to go. The colorful décor is fun and unique. It feels like you’re inside La Vecindad del Chavo.

We saw the restaurant on TikTok and wanted to try it out since my husband and I loved the show as kids. We took our family to also try(5 adults and 3 kids). We loved the style of the restaurant and the fact that the waiters were dressed as the characters. The food was pretty good and the aguas frescas were very tasty however, the waiters never came around to ask if we needed anything or check in once in a while. I believe STRONGLY on earning your tip and leaving a good service for your customers. We asked for our check and noticed that they added 20% of gratitude. I was quite surprised that they would leave such a great amount of tip even if the service was not as great. We asked them respectfully why they left a large amount and they mentioned that in the menu it states that if the table is more than 5 than they charge 20% no matter what. Which I’m okay with if they did their job as they should. Quite upset in the fact that tip should be optional depending on the service. Sadly we won’t be coming back.

I like the theme, but the service was bad. El chavo guy kept making comments and we are all teenagers. He kept calling us precious and beautiful, putting his hand on our shoulders (one being 17.) and even trying to get a group hug which we denied. Another comment that didn’t sit right with me was when I was tasting my drink, he asked if it was good and I said it’s good. He then asked if it was as good as him, it wasn’t a funny joke. It’s unprofessional for a restaurant even if he’s “playing a character.” it made all of us uncomfortable, I couldn’t even enjoy my food anymore. He shouldn’t be making comments like that to anyone.
They added their own 20% tip, they state it’s for a group of 5 or more and that “assure you that the tip is not included in groups of fewer than 5 people”. There was only 4 of us.

We tried the machetes, chilli fries the guisados with pork and nopal. Machetes were super good, you can pick 2 different choices per machete, meat was tender (barbacoa), chicharrón in salsa verde was flavourful and not really spicy, Chilli fries are also not very spicy and were ok. They serve a small salsa, small fried bean dip and chips when you arrive.
To drink we got the papaya and tamarindo agua frescas, they were delicious and not too sweet.
Music was a little loud but I think they realized it and asked if we wanted it lower, and they turned it down. Overall a great experience!

Food was delicious and service was fantastic. The staff is fun to interact with and they make it a great experience. As for atmosphere for those that grew up watching “El Chavo del 8” they recreated the set really well and it imerses you into the show. A great little mexican restaurant that is unique!

While it does usually appear to be slow, the service is friendly and the chips and salsa (and beans) make is a lot nicer to wait around

The food was also really good. I got Chavos Torta for me and my mom, and we were actually satisfied with it. Its also a REALLY good deal, 20 dollars for a torta that could last you a week.

Really tasty breakfast burrito for 3 dollars and change. Can’t remember exact price but it came to about 4 dollars with tax. Great price, and not skimpy. Definitely will go back. They also have good happy hour. I don’t really drink, but the price for beer and margaritas sounds amazing.

I had seen this restaurant on tiktok and I was so excited since it was based on one of my favorite childhood television shows. We felt ignored, I did go during rush hour by observation. My husband enjoyed his plate. There was hair on my food twice and we waited for service for a while. I got up to ask for drinks, chips, etc. They did exchange my food, but not even a courtesy discount after such experience. That was our first and last time.

We ordered catering for a Dia de Muertos party and everything was incredible. Every single person who ate asked where we picked up the food because it was the best Mexican food they’d ever had in Colorado.

We ordered chicken and carnitas, next time I would just do carnitas probably because the chicken tasted good but looked bland which was more obvious in a catering platter.

Don’t leave without the chicharrón and the salsa. So good.
