I ordered the Pelotero and it was delicious. I had asked for the yucca fries to be swapped for tostones and that was overlooked which is why I gave service a 4/5. Despite the mistake, the yucca fries were well seasoned, light and crunchy that were accompanied by this cilantro cream sauce that was a flavorful condiment for them. The whole meal was packed with flavor. I’ll definitely be back to try out the rest of their menu.

I’ve been here like 10 times already so this review is over due, they make the best arepas in town hands down, staff is so friendly and always smiling, ordered a Cafe Colombiano and it did not disappoint. The plate “El pelotero” it’s also delicious. It’s hard to find good Latin food in Albuquerque already so this place is a gem for me. Don’t sleep on this place

The Cubano from Guava Tree is absolutely packed with flavor—crispy bread, tender roasted pork, ham, Swiss cheese, pickles, and just the right amount of mustard. Every bite is perfectly balanced. Cozy spot, great service, and a must-try sandwich in ABQ!

The pricing is absurd for “Carribean style” beans and rice, which is essentially black beans and white rice with tomato on top.
I guess I was expecting a congris, since it cost $9.
I ordered mine to be a protein topped bowl, but everything was separated and the meat was barely warm.
The yucca fries were dry and certainly not fresh. And no aioli provided to attempt to balance out the dryness.
Staff was friendly and service was quick, but my guess is it was quick because none of my food was freshly made.

Where do I start?! I absolutely loved this place!! The cubano was by far one of the most delicious and authentic that I’ve had. Atmosphere was trendy, Tin Can Alley is like a food court with a bunch of different restaurants. The guy at the counter was very friendly, he helped us with special requests and service was speedy and professional. Five stars! ✨

I was very unsatisfied with both the food and the food safety practices at Guava Tree Tin Can Alley. While I was there, the woman serving me was prepping food in the back. When I walked up to place my order, she came to the counter without removing her food prep gloves and proceeded to touch the ordering screen, making it visibly dirtier with dough-covered gloves.
She then continued to prepare my drink using the same gloves, including handling the lemon garnish. This was extremely unsettling and felt like a serious lapse in basic food safety standards. By the time my food came out, I felt genuinely disgusted and uneasy about eating it.
I spent around $40, and it was absolutely not worth the money or the discomfort. Unfortunately, because of this experience, I won’t be returning.

Presentation of food is really nice.
The food taste great but I didn’t really like the texture it’s either so hard or chewy. And the mango smoothie that I ordered tasted like coconut but the color is yellow.

The scenery is nice, NO VEGAN options, some what of a vegetarian option, can be sought out. November is Native American Month, and the vendors had some amazing items for sale.
