When we informed the staff, they said they prepare Haleem twice a day. However, based on the smell and taste, it clearly did not feel fresh. There was no apology, no concern about food safety, and no effort to replace or remove the item from the bill.
Despite barely touching the dish, we were charged the full amount. This is not just about money, it’s about basic food quality and customer care. Very disappointing experience.
Highly recommended!
We ordered Paneer Butter Masala and Garlic Naan, along with Egg Fried Rice. The service started on a bad note when the Egg Fried Rice was significantly delayed, leaving us waiting for almost 20 minutes after being served the other dishes. When it finally arrived, to our dismay, it was Chicken Fried Rice instead. Despite informing the server, there was no immediate apology for the mix-up, and we had to wait even longer for the correct order.
While I must admit that the Paneer Butter Masala and Garlic Naan were delicious, the overall experience was marred by the poor service and lack of attention to our dietary preferences. The restaurant staff’s lack of consideration for our vegetarianism, coupled with the absence of any real apology for the mistake, left a bitter taste in our mouths.
In summary, while the food quality was commendable, the abysmal service and the overall unpleasant experience overshadowed any enjoyment we might have had. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone seeking a hassle-free dining experience.
Moving on to the sides, the garlic naan was decent, nothing extraordinary. The real disappointment came with the paneer makhani, which was the weakest link in our meal—a dish we wouldn’t recommend. Additionally, the portion size of the mandi rice left much to be desired, leaving us wanting more.
Overall, House of Biryani earns a modest three-star rating from us. The mandi fares similarly, garnering another three stars. However, the curry’s lackluster performance earns it a measly half-star, while the garlic naan earns a respectable two and a half stars. Lastly, the mayo’s low-quality and bitter taste drag down the experience even further.
Not sure why their Friday buffet menu didn’t change for 4 years but seriously tasty though.
