H&D BBQ catered our car cruise event on 7/26/15. What an awesome meal. The pulled pork sandwiches, baked beans and coleslaw were outstanding. I would recommend this place to anyone. Don’t miss out on the best pulled pork in Utah…

I have tried two meals here an loved both. The brisket sandwich was awesome and the loaded potatoes with it rocked. I just had the 1/2 rack of ribs and the smoke penetrations on it was great. Give it a try if you are in the area and want some good BBQ.

Let me begin by saying that I’m a Pat’s BBQ fan, and am excited to see a BBQ joint here in CH.
The staff, though nice, seemed new or under trained. I thought that by waiting a few months
since the opening that more of the bugs would have been worked out by now. The meats are
very good and the onion rings fantastic. Be aware that if you order a 2 or 3 meat plate that you
will incur an additional charge that they call “doubling up” if you order the same meats, didn’t make sense to me. If I can choose any meats why the extra charge? Especially like today when they didn’t have any ribs or chicken ready, and this wasn’t right when they opened, this was 5pm. So I will give them another try down the road a bit, I can only imagine the difficulty in trying to judge how much of each thing to cook each day. I hope to raise them a star next visit.

Everything about this place was disappointing. We came in at 130 on a Friday… To sum up, here was our experience:

– they were “out of” almost half the meat options (I guess I expected that on a Friday during lunch this shouldn’t be a problem)
– food only comes on a small lunch tray- no plates available. So if you’re sharing a meat plate you get to reach over the table or ask for an additional lunch tray (which I asked for and never received).
– half of the soda options were “out of order”, so unless you like powerade or diet soda you’re out of luck
– pulled pork was way overcooked and not at all impressive
– bbq sauce was terrible- tasted like ketchup with a little molasses thrown in
– staff was rude and inattentive. Asked 3 different people for forks because the container was empty before giving up and grabbing a “to go” pack because I was sick of asking. Twice I also walked up to the front to let someone know that there were no paper towels in the bathroom, and there was no one up front both times. I finally had to walk outside where they were all smoking to let someone know, and I got a shrug in response. Way to be, guys.

Meh, I really wanted to try this place but it took several tries as they are not open per their posted hours. Seems like they only open when it’s convenient for them.

Finally got to try it…and it was only ok in my opinion. Not worth all the fuss. It was a bit odd in the restaurant. It was a hodge podge of hand me down ikea tables and NO MUSIC. What? It’s very weird to eat at a restaurant when you are sitting in silence and can hear others conversations crystal clear. Ordering was confusing as well.

I probably won’t come back. I honestly prefer Dickeys. The meat at Dickeys is more moist and flavorful. H & D’s meat was dry and not well smoked in my opinion. The flavor was only on the outside. Also no sweet tea.

Tuesday Special. Full rack of ribs, 2 sides, and a drank for $18. Plus it’s delicious, and the staff are really friendly. Shout out to Autumn and John

Great taste and definitely have the moisture mastered. However, being from the South, there was just one thing missing with my 1/2 chicken – WHITE SAUCE!!!

Best onion rings ever. I think this is the best bbq I have had in Utah.

Really like the brisket, but they frequently run out of it too early in the lunch hour.
