#1: New owners!!!! Beware !! They say the other owners are on vacation but not so. Probably said that to keep you from going somewhere else. The food is terrible now. Tasteless. Greasy. Watered down soup. Meat is tough. Prices went up. It’s a shame because they used to have good food. Looks like we’re going to be looking for a new Chinese restaurant. #2: We don’t like Boundary Ave Chinese takeout- food is horrible tough meat and chicken and they give you very small portions. Charge for fortune cookies. ? Asked for extra packs of duck sauce and gave me one more. So that’s 2 Chinese restaurants off the list. Too bad Commack is a bit of a drive. Foo Luck is the BEST Chinese takeout place anywhere. Super large portions and delicious food! Reasonably priced. Same owners over 25 years! And they don’t charge for extra sauces or fortune cookies or tea or noodles.

Moved to Farmingdale 3 years ago. I was so happy that East Eats had the best food I ever had and is 5 minutes from my home. Several months ago I noticed the wonderful woman that was always behind the counter along with her husband who was the head chef were not there. I asked if there is a new owner. I was told no and that they were on vacation. When I sat down to eat I immediately noticed that the soup had a different color and it tasted like water. The lo mein had no flavor as well. Had to throw it out. Placed an order tonight and they gave me the wrong rice dish. The rice looked horrible and the soup was not made from scratch. Never ordering from them again. Luckily I came across Swanson Ramen broth at Shoprite they also have lo mein ingredients that will tied me over until I find a quality Asian restaurant. What a shame.

Food is consistently good. NEVER been disappointed. They use quality ingredients and I have never had anything from them that wasn’t absolutely delicious. Great value, surprisingly inexpensive considering Portion Size is very generous. Wide variety of menu options – they offer Ramen and Thai food as well and both cuisines are as good as you would get from the respective restaurants. Delivery is fast and friendly, I keep going back again and again. Can’t recommend them highly enough.

I noticed all new faces behind the counter about a month and an half ago. I asked if they were new owners and was told no, and that the owners were on vacation. When I got home and started eating my food, it definitely was not the same. I gave it another try 2 weeks ago, thinking the original owners would be back by now. It was still all of the new faces and the food was horrible! Tasted off and the meat in the beef with broccoli was so tough! I ended up throwing it out. Very disappointed but even more so that they felt the need to lie.

East eats used to be our favorite Chinese place. The food used to be absolutely delicious and the service was amazing. Ever since the ownership changed the food is just disappointing. It tastes completely different and not good at all. We’re so sad to have lost such an amazing Chinese place. We miss Jack and his family so much!

The restaurant recently was sold and the new owners dropped the ball on my order! The food was terribly bland, it was a spicy dish which it wasn’t. Not enough chicken or for that matter, vegetables too! Fried rice wasn’t that good either. No fortune cookies given and soup with no bag of noodles. The previous owners were fantastic! I’ll have to find a new place.

Tried East Eats tonight for dinner, very good food and service. Definitely will be using them again. Very fast home delivery.
My understanding is there are new owners there, excellent.

Arrived 25 mins later than expected.
Asked for extra crispy chicken and lite sauce but received very soggy food.
Will not order again.
