Eddy’s is a welcome culinary delight to the little town of Slocomb. The calzones are fantastic as well as the pizza!

The only complaint is that they use canned mushrooms instead of fresh.

This is absolutely the best pizza in the Dothan area. It’s the old Dante’s pizza if you are a local and remember it. The Slocomb location doesn’t have much atmosphere but if you want pizza this is the place to get it. Not too thin crust. Good toppings. Not greasy. You can also get Sicilian style if you like a really bready outer crust. Even if you don’t think it’s five stars because you’re a pizza snob, it’s still solid pizza. Don’t order anyone else.

The most fabulous calzone I have ever had with ricotta cheese, mozzarella meatballs and the sauce is too perfection!

Not a bad lunch spot. However, tbh, we went about 11:30ish, which is prime lunch time. There was no sweet tea because they didn’t have the “little baskets” it takes to make it. I assume that meant filters. They also had no sweet tea the past two times I went. Then, the Dr. Pepper was out. I ordered lasagna and it was pretty good. A bit watery for my taste but the flavor was very good. I’m not a fan of water on my plate when I get pasta. It happens usually when some restaurants don’t drain their noodles but I did not expect it in a baked dish. As for the service, there isn’t any. The lady that took our order never said another word after that. She never asked if we were ok on drinks or anything else. Maybe that is just the way they do things. This is why I’m not a fan of tipping at the register when you pay before your meal is served. I am usually an over-tipper, btw. She wasn’t rude at all but once we placed our order at the register, that was all we got from her. I will be back but I feel I have to leave honest feedback for a review as always. Food is overall pretty good but don’t expect a lot more and don’t spend extra for tipping since there just isn’t a service that warrants it.

I live 30 minutes away and have been looking for a really good pizza place. Went to Eddy’s yesterday for a to-go pizza and it was REALLY good! The next test was trying the leftover pieces today after reheating in the microwave and I was very impressed! This will definitely be my go-to place for pizza from now on! And the lady that was working the counter was very nice. Also, the place looked really clean.

The first experience at Eddy’s Pizza in Slocomb was disappointing, despite positive recommendations. Both I and my guest were let down.
The initial ordering process showed some confusion when the term “pie” was used instead of pizza for a large order with toppings. During the wait, kitchen staff seemed playful, raising concerns about food preparation. The order took longer than expected, despite being the only customer in the restaurant.
The pizza was taken home, a short 5-minute drive, and was a letdown. The cheese was unmelted, the toppings were scarce, and the edges were burnt. The entire pizza was cold.
The guest, who previously recommended Eddy’s, was dismayed by the poor quality. Three-quarters of the $30 pizza was discarded.
The visit did not meet expectations. Neither the reviewer nor the guest will return.
