THIS is THE BEST Tex-ican Restaurant! It rivals the food at any Mexican restaurant in town. It’s Mexican with a Texas mesquite flair. From the wine margaritas (just as good as tequila margaritas, ) the freshly fried tortillas & fresh hot sauce to the entrees & stellar, caring service. Do not leave Cartersville without a beeline to Olympia’s!
I had the three Taco dinner h substituted grilled fish for one of the three meat choices & it was to die for. My dining mate had a steak taco & neither of us could hardly speak because the food was soooo good! (No, I am not paid for any reviews!) Truly, the food is that good.
Like many restaurants. They have serve bread before an entree. Their bread was 2 biscuits covered with a cinnamon sauce! Oh yum.
My friend ordered chips & hot sauce & before we ordered, the freshly fried tortilla with incredibly fresh & spicy hot sauce arrived. I have never had chips so fresh & salsa so fresh & spicy! Just killer. Our server told us that everything they serve is fresh – that’s their complete goal – and it shows.
I took two of my tacos home & my friend had only one steak taco that was plenty for her.
The wine margaritas were no different than liquor margaritas & I was glad – it was my birthday celebration!
Seriously, don’t miss this incredible restaurant. It is on Tennesse St., just N. of Gentilly (Home Depot / Harbin Clinics) intersection, & West side of TN. St. Just S. of Los Arcos, this is a must go before you hit any Mexican restaurant in town.

Appetizer: Texas twinkies
Entrees: saddle burger and Texas tacos
Texas twinkles were undercooked. Bacon wasn’t crisp and the jalapeños were very raw. Not enjoyable imo.
Burger was extremely over seasoned and a chore to choke down. Very very salty and I believe they mix the meat with seasoning inside it, gross. It should only be seasoned on the outside.
Fries were the best part of my meal.
Tacos were bland, shells were decent and lettice and cheese were fresh. Meat tasted like taco helper from the store. Salsa tasted sour.
I won’t be back here unless they improve.

My daughter and I shared the McAllen and shrimp with the amazing cowboy caviar and the sweet potato souffle with fresh roasted marshmallows. Sauce on the ribeye was so good. Made to perfection! My husband had the smoky mountain pasta with chicken, shrimp and steak . Enough food for 2 more meals to take home!
My son in law had the wild west burger and boy was it messy and sloppy! Really good stuff with great flavor fries and sauces
4 of us ate for $50 with left overs! Yes, we shared one meal but still crazy good!

It was cool. The biscuits were a good touch while waiting for our appetizers. Warm and buttery. We got the Guacamole and house made corn chips. Really delicious. Only reason for 4 stars is because they did not have and mixed drinks or margaritas. Just beer, which is odd for a Mexican restaurant

I gotten the shrimp fajita quesadilla and it was really good. And my husband got the steak fajitas which he liked we also liked the chips and salsa it had a very strong flavor of cilantro and it was made fresh.
The Mexican rice and the refried beans wasn’t that good. They also offer a buffet which is tacos. Not pricey at all. Very clean and service was great.

i really wanted to like this place since i am from texas and from the mexican border. the service was great. jason was excellent. the decor was great. i ordered steak fajitas. i got 4 little thin pieces of meat that really were bland. sitting on about a pound of onions and peppers. i dont know about you but when i order fajitas i want fajitas. they really went to town on the veggies. the salsa tasted like it came from a jar at the store. like pace picante or something. my son got the chicken quesdailla and my daughter got the kids chicken tenders. they both seemed ok with their food. i guess i just expected better especially for the kinda high prices. we were on our way to another restaurant when i saw this place with the texas flag waving and i guess i got too excited cuz i pulled right in without even looking at the menu or any reviews. my wife was excited to hear about this place since it was so “texasy” but i told her we would probably not be going back as we can get much cheaper and better fajitas and tex mex food elsewhere.

Run, don’t walk! This place is AMAZING! The atmosphere is so fun, the food is incredible and the prices are SUPER reasonable. They give you gigantic portions and the flavor is out of this world. Everyone was super friendly as well. Definitely check this place out, its EXCELLENT.
