Amazing!!!! Simply amazing!!!! Wine, cheese plate and I had the rabbit sausages with wild rice and carrots.

The flavor was perfect, not gamey taste, sausages snapped when you cut into them, carrots lightly flavored with herbs and Al dente, rice seasoning was mild and added the perfect compliment to the sausage. The mustard sauce gave the perfect “kick” and accompanied the dish well.

I would highly recommend going here!

This place is truly an authentic French restaurant. The bread, wine selection, ambiance, and most importantly the food variety remind me of France. The staff are very kind and laid back. I will make it a priority to come here every time I’m in Omaha.

More of an institution, the most authentic French gourmet that I’ve had since that hole in the wall Parisian place back in the mid nineties. Not to miss if you are a foodie, enjoy European wine and excellent cheese. Just wish I’d found it sooner. Service is great but more euro vibe than hot air American vibe… and LEGIT baguette made on site

I live in the area and had only been here once before for some wine. It was a Thursday afternoon around 1 o’clock, and my wife and I stopped here for some food and some wine. It wasn’t busy and we were able to get a seat outside immediately. The wine I picked out they did not have cold, but the server grabbed a bucket of ice brought it to the table, put the wine in it and we are off to the races. We had a meat and cheese tray, some olives and bread and butter. Everything we had was fantastic. We finished the bottle of wine and had two more glasses of wine. We spent a long time there and nobody seemed to be in any hurry for us to leave, which we really appreciate it. I think this place can get pretty busy later in the afternoon and it may be harder to get a table but, if you get there a little bit earlier, you can have a really relaxing and nice time. The server could not have been nicer and more accommodating to us. Highly recommended.

La Buvette Wine & Grocery is an absolute gem in Omaha! This quaint spot blends a charming atmosphere with an impressive selection of wines and gourmet groceries.

The wine selection is extensive, with options from various regions that cater to all tastes and budgets. The staff is knowledgeable and incredibly helpful, guiding you toward the perfect bottle for any occasion.

I also appreciated the small grocery section, packed with high-quality artisanal products, fresh produce, and unique snacks that are perfect for a picnic or cozy night in. Don’t miss the cheese and charcuterie boards—they are beautifully arranged and perfect for sharing!

The ambiance is relaxed and welcoming, making it a great place to unwind with friends or enjoy a quiet moment alone. Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or looking to expand your wine collection, La Buvette is a must-visit in Omaha!

While the atmosphere was pleasant and unique and the food was good-it was not “good enough” for the 2 hours it took for our food to arrive at our table. Plus the fact that after an hour our waitress told us, they ran out of what we had ordered and there was only enough for “1” of those (3 of us had ordered that entree). When the bill came, we had been charged for extra wine as well. In my opinion, the wine should have been complimentary after the wait and running out of food after a hour of waiting for THAT! Bringing us extra bread, didn’t suffice this time.

I enjoy coming here for the food and the outdoor seating (a huge plus: it’s dog-friendly). We dine here regularly, as the outdoor ambiance almost makes you feel like you’re in Europe. However, the service is consistently terrible, and the food takes painfully long to arrive. It usually takes about 15 minutes just to get water and 45–50 minutes for the food to be served. The waitstaff frequently forgets requests, and they don’t bring bread. It also seems like they are understaffed.

This was our second visit…the first being 6 years ago. It’s like walking into a Parisian cafe in the heart of Omaha! The charm, lighting and staff lend to the outstanding experience. Our party shared the charcuterie platters and I had the roast chicken over mash. All of it was delightful. The staff shared 5e service and regularly stopped at her table to ensure we were ok. They brought around artisan bread and butter several times also. We selected two bottles of red wine and were pleasantly surprised to see the modest price. Value for money was certainly the theme at this beautiful restaurant. Highly recommended.

If I lived in Omaha, I’d be in danger of visiting too often! I love the ambience. The wine menu is pretty extensive, and reasonably priced. My open faced sandwich was delicious. There are a lot of bottles of wine to explore, with other hard alcohol as well. I highly recommend checking this place out.

I’ve wanted to try this place for a while and it did not disappoint. The dinning area flows out onto the patio for what I assume is just for the warmer parts of the year and the front of the restaurant is very open with much of the front opened up.
It would be hard to overstate how good the bread is here. This is the table bread they give out when you order food. There’s a few different varieties, all fresh baked, served with good butter. This is not your standard fare as far as free bread goes, this bread is above and beyond the call of its duty.
The pumpkin soup I had was too notch, one of the best soups I’ve had in a while. Then came the beef bourguignon. I’m very fond of the classics and this was a excellent example of the dish. It’s important when you go here to get as many things that you can dip bread into as possible because the bread is so good and they will bring you more… to some extent.
