Smelled so good inside and out and we saw the rating and it being “a hole in the wall” but unfortunately didn’t meet up to those standards… food was only decent and their menu isnt updated. chili had nothing but meat and tomatoes, corn was soggy, meat was not like the reviews said, biscuits and gravy sausage was also meh. me and my family may be picky but the basically 5 star review and place being packed is a bit of a stretch… the workers were very friendly and helpful and the price was ok but not worth the wait

The place is nothing to look at. Almost didn’t go in, but I’ve been in diners before so I thought I’d give it a shot. It was early, so we didn’t have to wait long for lunch. Tried the “special”, chicken fried stead, mashed potatoes and green beans. The potatoes and steak were drowning in gravy. Not the way I like it, but that’s on me for not asking to have it on the side. EVERYTHING was so heavily seasoned with pepper I could not eat it. If you like your food like that, then go to this place. If not, stay away.

Don’t hesitate to drive couple miles off I 40 to Branbar Diner!
We had a late lunch here. Amazing food and staff. I had the club with house made chips and my husband had chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, fried okra and side salad.
They get an A+!

The food was great! Their specialty is chicken fried steak and it was delicious! I highly recommend it. Portions were generous. All I can say is come hungry. Service was good too! The atmosphere is down home country, not fancy.

Biggest, lightest and most enjoyable pancakes ever are a specialty at the Branbar dinner right off Route 66. My partner had a juicy and done just right cheeseburger, garnished with delicious onion rings. As a matter of fact virtually everything at the Branbar is made from scratch, and the taste makes that obvious. We learned a little about the local area from our server, who was so nice and obliging. It’s hard to find family-owned on busy interstate 40, so we were pleasantly surprised to find this homey, easily accessible and tasty eatery!

The fact that my husband came in with his work crew and all they wanted was to try the chicken fried steak to be told they didn’t have any. Then turn around and hear the staff answering phones and taking orders for chicken fried steak and it being ready in 15 minutes!! What a huge slap in the face. No one wants to pull the racial card but this is not okay! Yes they were Mexican men but with their boss of a completely different race with them and still couldn’t get the chicken fried steak. Please drive the extra miles and find a “REAL” diner with better service and maybe someone that actually would want to take our money!

The staff was very friendly and the food was awesome. The options were endless so there should be something for everyone. If you’re into country cooking, then this is the place for you.

Horrible people. Had a blowout at 6:30pm, nobody answered the phone. Couldn’t get to fix my tire until morning and they had already paid someone out of town to tow it that night.

Was going to cost me $450 to get it out just because the burnt toast and dry eggs they serve are the only things to eat in Sayre.

this place is garbage.

Completely uninspired and unseasoned menu. Great if you have the pallet of a chained up dog.

Food is great. Everything was seasoned perfectly and the salsa and chips are very fresh.

Super cute little diner! The service was excellent! The young lady working handled the dining room, phone and drive through! Chicken fried steak was fantastic. So glad we chose it!
