Manuela makes the most delicious mofongo! It really shines! This dish also comes with rice but I can’t eat rice. It was all seasoned perfectly. If mofongo is what you want, make sure to call ahead or visit their Facebook page to check the menu before you go. It changes daily. This place is worth the drive! ¡Qué delicioso!

In a word, FANTASTIC!! Jacqueline serves up the most authentic and delicious Puerto Rican food between here and San Juan. My bride amd I thoroughly enjoyed the Chicken Stew Mofongo, Beef and Chicken Empanadas, and Guava Empanada. Puerto Rican Café is a must visit.
“Sigh” – If only there was one on the Eastern Shore!

Food is always amazing and the service is great! I usually get the yuca and chicken empanada, but this time I tried the ham egg and cheese breakfast sandwich. Large portion at a reasonable price.

I was at work and me and coworker ordered dinner through DoorDash. My first time experiencing Puerto Rican cuisine. I got the pork with rice and the plantains. The portions were huge for very fair price. And the food was so delicious. I am so grateful that I live in this beautiful country and have the option to try so many varieties of amazing delicacies from all these different places. We are so blessed. Thank you for making me a delicious plate.

I’ve been craving Puerto Rican food for a while, so we took a drive for about an hour, and it was totally worth it! The food was fresh and super tasty. We tried the pizza, carne empanadillas, the Cuban sandwich, and the chef’s special, which had arroz con gandules, pernil, and tostones. I thought it was really cool that they switch up the chef’s special every day. Overall, it was a good place. We will come back!

10/10! Service and food were outstanding. Each empanada was delicious, mofongo bowl was big, beautiful, and so tasty and the stuffed mofongo was great and filling. Our server was amazing and I loved the virgin coquito, perfect for a cold day! Take out has been great as well. Will return.

So today I decided to try this authentic Puerto Rican eatery and for the 4th time, I have not been let down! This place is a diamond in the rough, you will not be disappointed at all or ever with this place. I ordered the Cuban sandwich this time and I was more than impressed. My sandwich came with Cuban bread, slice of ham, a good helping of shredded roast pork, Swiss cheese, slice of dill pickle, yellow mustard and I think some other dressing I just can’t put my finger on it. And I remember when I called my order in, she asked if I wanted regular fries or plantain chips. GET THE PLANTAIN CHIPS!!!!! Not only was it a healthier option than the fries, but man were they so delicious! That sandwich had SOOOOO much flavor in every bite. The bread was toasted perfectly, the shredded pork was juicy in every bite, the mixture of the mustard and the dill pickle helped to make the sandwich pop even more. This being my fourth time eating there through the year, I can recall that every dish I ordered was full of flavor.
When you call in place your order, just go ahead and ask “What’s the best dish, what do you suggest?” If she slips up and just says only one dish, I just want you to know that she is being humble. Everything on this menu is good. Even my coworkers frequent this place, one of them who is Puerto Rican says “Everything on her menu is a good choice, no such thing as a bad meal.” He isn’t lying! She is very welcoming when you walk thru the door, you can smell the culture of almost 4,000 years enter your nose and to your soul when you take a bite of her food. She also has some authentic items for sale on a bookcase and also some sodas in the fridge by the counter as well.
This place is most definitely a hidden diamond in Lexington Park, you hear me…..a diamond! Stop reading this and hurry up and order….go ahead!!! And as always, enjoy your bite!

Go here. Try it. EVERYTHING IS EXTREMELY GOOD! You can never go wrong with the Beef Empanada or Cubano. I didn’t even think to take photos of everything because between the awesome smell and the first bite, it was too good to stop. They also occasionally have Salsa Dance Classes and Open Latin Dance too which is really cool.

If you are a meat lover then this place is for you. The beef empanada had a generous amount of good ground meat and the Cuban Sandwich was stacked with chunks of homemade roast pork, ham plus cheese pickles and mustard on a panini pressed cuban bread. All delicious too!
