Perfect! Yubi’5 78 is simply a welcoming homey atmosphere. A very casual dinner date with my wife, we were seated and greeted by Anna and served by Luis. The food (578 salad, fries burratta, calamari, and rigatoni bolonese) was spectacular, it was truly made with love. I scraped the bowls off dry. Lol! My wife and I had a wonderful time speaking with Luis, as he shared his heartwarming story; while Anna was welcoming. We will certainly be back (frequently)! We are rooting for this spot to be a staple business in the revitalizing grounds around the court house; with the ever changing landscape of Jersey City.

I highly recommend this little gem!!. The quality and taste of the food is simply superb. We had the charred octopus, calamari frutti, lobster ravioli, homemade lasagna. The risotto di mare and braised short ribs were the real deal, we also tried prosciutto cantaloupe and it was sooo tasteful and refresh!… each plate was made to enjoy. What a well blend of flavor! No only the food is something to come back for, also their stuff is incredible polite and amiable, made us feel we were well taking care all time.

I came here with a friend for her birthday. It was great we had a wonderful time. The staff here is amazing ready to cater to all your needs. Before you even need anything they are coming to check on you, clearing the table before the next part of the meal. It was wonderful service from the whole team. The food was amazing. It was honestly great pasta the grilled chicken on the salad was great. Everything was made to perfection. It’s a small intimate BYOB place. I would recommend for a girls night or a date night. I would say it’s better for smaller groups 4 or less and great for couples. I will definitely be back.

I have not been here but I absolutely would boast about their food and their service. I ordered door dash and even though there was a delay in the couriers part, it was still as if it were just cooked, very flavorful and really nice presentation. When I had to call to inquire about the pickup the lady was very helpful and definitely assisted in getting dd to assign someone to come get it. The price was definitely right and I will definitely and really looking forward to the fried calamari.

This was my family’s first time here, and Anna, our waitress, was such a great help with the menu, as well as very professional and friendly! The owner Mr. Yubi also stopped by after our meal to thank us for coming in and gave us background of the restaurant and how he got started! Overall amazing experience and you can tell they care about every customer! Also a huge plus you can bring whatever alcohol you want in!

Amazing service, might be the best bolognese I’ve ever had. The staff were so friendly. Will definitely come back. Also the clam pasta was so incredibly light and refreshing. Highly recommend this spot and so happy journal square is adding some solid dining options.

Great food with a few flaws, 5 star service, and a surprisingly charming atmosphere for the area. Good portion sizes at a more than fair price point. BYOB.

On the food:
– Burrata with fig jam 4.5/5, was delicious, but would profit from actual buffalo burrata for extra taste
– Charred octopus, 5/5 incredible and not chewy
– Carbonara 4/5, missing some salt, also not the traditional non-cream version, went too heavy on the cream in my taste
– Rigatoni bolognese, 3/5. Sauce was good, but pasta was undercooked. I don’t mean al dente but proper undercooked

Waiter was very fourth coming, we did not know it was BYOB and he provided a glass of wine on the house.

Small, cozy Italian spot with great value, quality, and service.

The Calamari was lightly fried, crispy, and accompanied by a refreshing mix of arugula, basil, and shishito pepper.

The linguine with clams had well developed flavor without being too salty. The bite on the linguine was tad softer than Al dente which I enjoyed.

The dessert was my favorite. The tiramisu balanced sweetness with richness, and was not soggy. Chocolate drizzle with fresh strawberries elevated the dessert.

My server was polite and sincerely asked for feedback. Service was a bit slow, but I could tell that time was spent executing on each dish.

A quaint, rare delicious find located right off the Journal Square path. Would definitely recommend this restaurant – it’s a small locale so I recommend reserving. The penne vodka was fresh and a good balance of sauce and Parmesan. The octopus was my favorite. Check it out!
